I'm not an experienced PC person but your gpu is about equal to mine and everything else is better (i think) and I can get mostly 60fps on dayz at 1080p, albeit on lower settings but dayz sa is very badly optimized, ill thumbs up ur comment so someone with knowledge can reply :P

With your system you should be able to run Arma 3 at high settings. For DCS, you should be fine running it at high to medium settings. Depends on how much stuff is going on ingame. If you want to have more frames you can always just lower the settings a bit. DCS in comparison to most other games relies heavily on the CPU, so overclocking it isn't a bad idea. it sometimes has rather long load times and can sometimes lagg when preloading stuff ingame so getting a SSD would help tomake it run smoother.

The sniper fire wasn't 4000m, he said that a patrol was receiving sniper fire from a house 4000m from the FOB then goes to say that friendlies (the patrol) was 500m away. So the sniper was only shooting 500m

It is pretty intense because you have to watch your systems along with flying the aircraft and keeping an eye out for whats going on. It is a lot to handle which is why I love it you have to focus

P.S. I didn't watch the entire video but I read some of the comments and saw one where a dude was shooting with an AK from 4000m away? In-friggin-possible. Next is that it'd be a conversion to a Draganuv anyways. But still...4km? My ass. What was the furthest shot ever done at still killing velocity? It was done on a very high end anti material rifle I believe and it was maybe 3km max and I mean MAX with tons of preparation and everything.

Furthest shot that killed? assuming you mean on people if so the longest recorded/confirmed is around 2700yards if i remember right with a .338[one of the more popular all around long range rounds]

When firing rockets, try engaging your PAC-1 first. It'll stabilize the aircraft and prevent the recoil from messing up your grouping...
