You are one of the best at weathering effects. It's so amazing to see you work and make these masterpieces. Definitely a master modeler. 👍🎅❄🎄☃️

6:40 Kinda surprised they used the white paint when they repaired just below the roof. A white panel there normally means an excess-height car, so I'd imagine they'd avoid painting other cars that way to avoid confusion. Pretty easy to imagine somebody panicking and slamming the train into emergency seeing that heading towards a low clearance.

Good work Dan. Check out these cars. I have done similar weathering cars. RBox #33153, ABox #'s 51852, 52433 and TBox 663882. Covered Hopper ECUX 887194 (The Dragon) would be super labor intensive and the UP covered hopper could be done using a Walthers mainline NSC 5150 car. Now how about a tank car kitbash video.

you do great work. ballpark figure on cost?

those tex mex railcars are from the IPD era... after the IPD era ended in the early 80s, those cars were leased to MANY different roads, most did not repaint them... so they kept getting more and more busted and rusted... your model is a perfect example of this... there are some in even WORSE shape... nice job as usual

What do you typically use for your clear coat at the end of your weathering projects? Thanks, Kennedy

What website do you sell your weathered cars on?

Do you make your own decals or get them from a decal-making vendor. Do you have a preferred decal source? Thanks again, Kennedy

how did you get the white on the rbox to look solid and not transparent when I use white it always looks alittle see through

I weather alot of freight cars. I suggest using a light gray undercoat color such as vallejo gray primer or a light ghost grey color under the area you are going to paint white. It works well for CSX loco roofs and white patches. Hope that helps.

Zach Bloomquist thank you so you mean I should put a later down first below as the first layer then use white
