Good information, if these companies are ready to upgrade to DCT either they could have also connected a transmission cooler to reduce heat as compared to high end luxury cars or properly tune the transmission as you told.

04:14 Where i Use Manual Shifts! Like! It Holds 1st or 2nd Gear according to the Weight! Or Passengers Count So There is no chance to confuse the clutch! I'm using Hyundai Venue S Dct for the past two years! I don't feel any heating issues! Until and unless while driving in a heavy traffic zone! And when you are revving the engine too hard! Simply! Control your Dct Cars by Manual Shifts! In those situations! While Revving the Car! Do Upshift Over Less than 4k Rpm! It Might Helps You! And When You're Stuck on a heavy traffic Zone Do Shift to P Or N Where the Gear box don't act! Obviously It Gets Cool!

What is your opinion on Ford DCT ? I have a 2016 Ecosport and I quite happy with my car. Worried about DCT issues seen in the net. If something goes wrong how easy to repair and cost. Can I sell it or keep it. I have done only 26k and very happy with all respects. Pl advise.

In a bumper to bumper traffic situation, if DCT is driven in Manual mode on a fixed gear (1st gear), are there chances for clutch to overheat?

One major reason could be the sheer number of people using Creta, Seltos, Venue and Sonet. If you take the percentage of complaints against the sales, probably it would be more or less the same as Skoda, VW and other pioneers.

Also many people do a common mistake especially in bumper to bumper traffic with Auto gearbox. If the car is in stand still position in traffic, many people wont get the gear to Neutral mode, they would be still in the Drive mode by pressing the Break continuously. This would also lead to lot of heating issues as the clutch has been continuously engaged to 1st gear at the back end.

For your information currently I have Vento TDI DSG.

@@tshrjain i believe that will defeat the purpose of having an automatic in the first place, people like me think of buying automatics just to avoid the clutch and crawl of manual gearbox in heavy city trafic like metros Chennai. why buy automatic and use manual mode, instead we can buy manual gearbox atleast will be lot cheaper. best idea is if you are more of a city driver avoid dct/dsg and go for cvt the rubber band effect is reduced largely in recent new vehicles, just a minor compromise but gives a hassle free driving in city traffics, occasional highway drives doesnt hurt either

Cc is engine displacement. It's like the engine volume. Hp is engine power. Commonly, there is a misconception that more cc= more hp. But modern cars prove them to be wrong. Small cc cars also produce more power nowadays.
