I am glad that you receive Jesus as personal Saviour, and to me this very awesome song very precious to my heart even i am living in Ukraine where Russian people with that poisoned war are trying kneeling us down before them, they are made a lot of mistakes thinking about us a such way! I think we must bow before the King of kings Jesus! But not before Russia and silly Putin! His next way is hell! Thank you Larry for great song it's really touched my heart! And i can play on my guitar another tune in C or D or G but in F major it's quite difficult for me! But also can play piano and keyboard well

I personally knew Larry too. I met him in 1965 when he was in the band People, my mom was good friends with the teen club Sloopy’s owner in Redding CA, half the band stayed at my family’s house every time the People came to play at Sloopy’s which was at least twice a year & maybe more. I was 14 when I met them. Larry, Gene & Johnny stayed at my house the whole weekend every time, until Johnny left the band, then it was Denny who stayed. Larry became like a big brother to me, my brother Danny & my sister Dee. We stayed in contact until the band broke up. About that same time I moved to Reno, NV & lost contact until 1976, I was in San Diego, married with a 2 year old son when I went to see Larry at the Civic Center & was invited back stage. It was like no time had passed at all. We stayed in contact again until Larry started going over seas a lot. We reunited in 1991, then I had two daughters & just went through a bad divorce. My brother Danny saw Larry at a concert & told Larry of what I was going through & Larry gave my brother his contact info had me get in touch with him. Larry was always there for me. He was a wonderful friend & he loved Jesus so much & would always share his love of Jesus & he was truly a minister of the Word & Jesus’s love. He tried to do all he could to help me spiritually. He cared for his friends truly. I know he was misunderstood by the mainstream church & contemporary music business, & some friends, but there was a lot of misunderstanding in all that. Especially after his head injury on the airplane. They just didn’t know the extent of that injury & how it effected him. I lost contact again. I married again & husband was very jealous & felt threatened by the relationship I had with Larry & prohibited me from contact with him in 1997. I didn’t know Larry passed in 2008 until 2 weeks after his passing. It broke my heart to have lost him, & all the years that were lost & wasted because of a man’s jealousy, it was like losing my actual brother & best friend. I felt like I let him down by letting my husband control me to such a degree. I am no longer married to that jealous man. We divorced in 2017. Larry had the gift of discernment & he warned me that the marriage was not right for me & he was right about that. I went through a lot of suffering in that 27 year marriage. I miss Larry so much, I think of him so often. He was my friend, & he was my brother. His music is so special & he certainly served the Lord with it well. I’m looking forward to seeing him again when it’s my time to go home to the Lord.

I was a huge fan of Larry Norman and saw him many times in concert. He, and later Love Song, truly changed Christian music and were a tremendous witness for the love of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. Here's a funny story that is sort of related to Larry Norman. When I was 18 years old, I was traveling through California with a guy I had just recently met. He told me he had a friend that lived in California that he hadn't seen in many years and he wanted to stop by and say hi. He casually mentioned that this friend of his was Larry Norman's cousin. So we stopped at his friend's house and I was semi in awe because this family was related to Larry Norman(!), and I thought of him as a Christian superstar. So my friend is in the kitchen catching up with his friend's family and I'm sitting by myself in the living room just looking around, minding my own business. Next to my chair is a large book case filled with books. I'm passing the time by reading the titles of each book when I see a large book on an upper shelf with the title, "Famous Nudes of the World" on the spine. Now that title piqued my curiosity big time, but here I was a Christian young man in a home full of other Christians. I resisted the urge for quite a while, but finally my interest got the best of me and I quietly grabbed the book off the shelf. I listened carefully to make sure no-one was coming into the living room from the kitchen. I then slooowly opened the book to see what treasures were inside. All of a sudden, there was an ear splitting shriek coming from inside the book!!! The book was blank inside with a cutout with a loud horn now alerting the neighborhood that another sinner had been tricked again. I can't begin to describe how embarrassed I was. All I heard was laughter coming from the kitchen.

It is an amazing song. Listened to it growing up. I wasn't a believer either. But now that I am... and praying you will.. the song is that much more amazing. True story. One night I woke up to use the restroom and noticed my brother's weren't in their room and being the youngest it was my job to snitch. I went to my parents room and they were gone too. I freaked out!!! I knew my parents would never leave me alone and there was only one other way and that's me being left behind. Thankfully they were a few houses down at a home that was burning down . I went off as I grew up.. into the occult. I started out an atheist.. but the occult drew me in. After going through demonic things I figured there had to be a different side..A God. But, that thought of being left behind and what satan can do I knew I didn't wanna hang be around that. Scary what's coming. I don't wanna be here nor anyone. God bless. Sorry on the rant I just think of that when I hear this song.
