I’m 23 right now, I’ve been a Toby Mac fan since I was 6 and that’s how I figured out who DC Talk was and I have all there albums. Even seen Newsboys new and old in concert before! I love them all!!!

Jesus Freak & Newsboys Going Public, came out at the same time I was 13.... I'm 38. GREAT, fun, excellent times, enjoyed with our Youth Group, from Church 👍👍

I loved DC talk as a teen. But then we had sex abuse cover ups and purity balls that fucked up so many of us. I went from thinking I was going to marry a pastor or a missionary as a teen to not believing in the Bible at all. I left Christianity about a decade ago. I had to let it go.

DC Talk is a trio of extraordinarily talented vocalists who met as young men in Washington, DC. “In The Light” is from the 1995 album “Jesus Freak”… which I highly recommend. It’s an amazing collection of songs. Many masterpieces and a cross-over (to mainstream pop) song, too. 🥰🙏🏻🎤

I had the privilege of seeing them in my youth at the Alamodome in San Antonio. This performance is PURE NOSTALGIA! Toby Mac, Kevin Max, Michael Tate, Michael W. Smith and special guest speaker Billy Graham. I've seen well over 50 artists all kinds of genres, that was one of the best concerts I've ever been to... PERIOD! Christian or secular!!

Great show by DC Talk and Michael W Smith that night.Dc Talk were the closest thing I've seen to legitimate rock stars in the christian music genre. I was just watching a toby mac documentary and then of course a dc talk documentary and found out that this song was by dc talk originally!!! I've had this song as one of my favorite anthem light songs for years, I had NO idea it was written by toby!!!! No wonder i love it so much!!! It just blows my mind that even when I don't know its dctalk or tobymac its one of my favorite songs and then find out it is theirs originally. Like how do i always loop back to these guys?! I grew up listening and loveing the adoration newsboys album, but really fell in love with them when god's not dead dropped and michael was in the group and I actually equally loved the new style they took on because it was more modern but just as energetic and moving as the adoration album i grew up with. That DC talk documentary taught me that micheal was originally from dc talk and i was like "what!!! NO way!!!!". (keep in mind I only knew dc talk from the one jesus freak song when i was only 12 because a youtuber used it in thier intro to most of their code lyoko amvs, later discovered toby and even later figure out he was in dctalk, so the documentary today blew my mind in alot of connections to people and songs I love that i didn't know were connected to each other. Also I was born in 1995 so I was growing up in the beginnings of youtube and internet in general and toby was already his own thing by the time i was 15 and first started hearing him from a kid in my woodwork class bringing the portable sounds album cd in to play during work time.) So from my toby mac journey i didn't realize i already knew of dc talk and jesus freak, but I knew newsboys and michel tait separately from dc talk, and toby was his own thing, and then i watch this toby documentary today that led me to find out its all connected and then i watched the dc talk documentary and my mind was blown away and then find out about the newsboys connection AND THIS SONG and I am just floored right now. I'm babbling because i am like 'there is no FREAKING WAY in the light was originally dc talk and ive just been addicted to another toby song this entire time and had no clue.' But alas, here we are.
