It's just a suggestion my friend. DCUO is very very VERY far behind in regards to character customization compared to other games. Even older games like the old Elder Scrolls or other MMO's have better character creation. DCUO's is very underwhelming@@DCUOMultiverse

The color wheel will be sadly missed for us veterans out there, but the new simline threads look pretty nice. Not too much of a difference, other than the layout though.

The Character Creator looks a lot like the City Of Heroes Character Creator. I don't know if that's intentional or accidental but the vibe is very strong.

I asked them around 2-3 years ago about recreated the create a character stuff as it is very outdated, at the time they said that was something on the list of things they have planned for the game. This is good, but I was expected all the original styles to get the HD treatment as well, but that could still come with the graphics update they have planned. But yeah, I agree, the UI looks a bit basic though. They should have kept the Brainiac theme they had while still updating the UI as you start in the Brainiac ship.

@@EfecanYSL That is unfortunate, but that does not entirely mean that the creation styles wont get updated. As they are currently working on it and the character creation is how all new players get into the game and it would be important to make that experience the best it could possibly be for them. Also because I tried this on test earlier and it does seem like some of the older styles definitely look better than before. However I also haven't made a character in years so that could just mean I forgot how clean some of those styles actually looked, but most of them do very much show the game's age and I could see that being a turn off to newer players. But that is why I kind of still hold out on some hope that the creation styles may just get a HD update.

@@SinfulJon Id keep expectations very low. Old styles are getting retextured and that's all that is happening. Take my word for it, I've seen these retextured versions because a bunch of them have already been added to the game files. It's all slight improvements and that's it. Also character creation for this game is not bringing in new players. No one comes to play a 12 yr old game because of character creation.

@@roboninja3194 What I meant was the character creation is the first thing new players experience when starting the game, not that it itself will bring new players to the game. But seeing those old, muddy textured styles really shows the games age and could potentially turn off those new players from wanting to play the game, especially if they are coming from a more modern game like the Marvel's Spiderman series* or something. Also with their 'graphics update' at best I thought they would be retexturing all the old textures in the game to more modern DCUO standards, that's it. Basically like how they do character updates, but applied across the board for the entire game.

I would have preferred it if the made it so you could individually color each part of your style. Maybe even use materials for each color slot, so you could make the trim on the contemporary tech tights neon or something.

2:08 is it me or does the model seem different? Like prior I always felt the skinny model when tall just still looked like an awkward kid with a big head. Whereas this actually looks like a skinnier adult. I like it, a bit reason so everyone doesn't have the standard buff model.

The updated character creation is pretty good, however the one thing I don't get is why haven't we get a blue, purple, pink, orange, black, and white color lanterns in the present inspired? I mean just the base of the lantern Corp is the ring power and has the same abilities too.

I don't know. The current system is great. This new background seems dark and eerie. *shudder* 😄 Guess I'll have to get used to it. I also like to do the Tutorial when making new characters. It just has a different and unique feel to it versus using a CR Skip. Thats just me. I absolutely had to laugh when Multiverse said people would have a "heart attack" from those that used a CR Skip. He's not wrong. People be mad. 😅 Thanks for the video. 🙂

Don't worry about the colors in Character creation. You will be able to adjust the Colors once you get in game.

They replaced the slider with swatches in character creation. But once in game you still have the sliders. For customization they changed some of the styles.

??? How deep do we really need to go?? Already this took a while.... if we check each weapon..... each power.... each ability...... and more. That would require a 1 hour+ video. No point doing that on test.... it may change and be different and be obsolete once it goes on the Live Server. If we do a Deep Dive... we should do it on the Live Server..... but by them... most people won't care... they will have access to the tutorial themselves. ;) We shall see.... might still do a Deep Dive then??

This looks…terrible. I hope this is not the final design. Also if they were competent and Smart, they would release this along with a new Powerset like SuperSpeed to get people to make a new hero/Villain. Not only that but they should have updated or re textured all hair styles, and Updated skins like Metal, Rock or Lava with the new “Human Skins” face models. All I’m saying is, if your going to do or change something do it right and go all out. Show the people you care, that’s what makes a fan base….sigh.

They redo character creation but don't redo the old skins 😂I swear daybreak is so low effort with everything. Those old skins look terrible and they've obviously shown they can make them look better. The tattoo skin and barbarian skins specifically look awful. Those badly need an upgrade. This new character creation looks like a mobile game.

You can't even change what has each color if you know what im saying. Its very stupid

You can change once you are out of the character creator...... so..... a minor annoyance...... but it is easy enough to get around it.
