DCUO - Game Review [One of the Worst MMO Game I Ever Played!!]

Dear Neptune lol, today I’ve decided to review DC Universe Online, Not going to lie I was genuinely shocked by how disappointing the game turned out to be. As a person who plays many MMO Games it saddens me to say that it went downhill at an alarming rate. The pros I discussed were overshadowed by a multitude of cons. The game's current state is disheartening, and I can only hope that Daybreak Games takes the necessary steps to address the issues. It really seems like they don’t care about the game or the players. All they want is money. Very greedy company unfortunately. As a person who plays many mmo games I have to say DCUO is one of the worst MMO game I have ever played but of course I'll probably still play it due to the fact it is the only open world MMO DC game we have and the fact I love DC comics, but if my friends decide to quit then I'll quit too since it'll get boring without them. Every year there has been a free lvl up for the anniversary event that allows you to upgrade a character to near current top tier in the game. Which was a nice add in for new players. As for grinding. You don't have to be maxed out for everything. I've been a casual player for years, and enjoy this older game a lot. Graphics are outdated, but it's still very vast with creative options. I guess the game isn't for everyone.

I found out that City of Heroes has a few servers still up and running, and I forgot how non-animated the characters where 😅 Some older games still have there fun aspects even if they lack the graphics, or whatever compared to modern games. Mario or Sonic games would have died off a long time ago if some people didn't have an attachment to them that made them enjoyable.

MMO Games you can play that might not feel repetitive Guild Wars 2, Towers of Fantasy, The Elder Scrolls Online, and Final Fantasy XIV. You can also try out Star Wars Old Republic, but that might feel repetitive sadly. It’s so difficult to find a MMO that doesn’t feel repetitive nowadays. If those games don’t feel worth playing, the best option is to consider other genres of games that’s really good and fits your interests.

@@iBeDramatic GW2, ESO and FFXIV literally have required daily repetitive things that you need to do in order to progress. Like idk if you ever reached endgame but thats what endgame is. Repetitive stuff....

For my character’s backstory it is about him having quantum powers and he has super speed like the flash and can also time travel too. He’s the one who got future lex back in time and helped him get to the past. Because he’s from the same future that future lex is from. Oh my character is time fire and you guys probably know that name from time Ranger the Japanese counterpart of power rangers time force

This game was the best MMO on the market from 2012-2014. PvP was top tier. They ruined the game with the BS combat update they did and removing PVP worlds.

The episodes are not great. They are basically just patches, throwing in a couple of daily quests. One raid into dungeons does not constitute content. Most MMO‘s would have like a new area, a fast open world for new characters to be introduced. New quests not just daily quests you know think like World of Warcraft that’s an MMO if the DCUO were like that, I think it be one of the best games.

I think the best referrals for the game is Legend Saint Walker, Legend Catwoman, Red & Green Lantern, Water, and The Staff. The Best Aspects of the Game IMO.

I would like to see that happen too. I remember their artist talking about updating the skin models for players ages ago and talks of getting bunch of stuff (aka elf ears skins like sinestro etc) They updated the three default human skins and that was it. Nothing else happened and that artist that was helping them do the work soon left. Their lead artist has also left and bunch of other devs are listed for replacement. Doesn't really bode well amd the owners of daybreak won't ever invest money back into the studio for a old mmo. They said they wouldn't do it for Lotro, not much hope for DCUO.
