@@alwaysgood3913 honestly a lot of the things that were pay walled are just given to you as a daily/weekly/monthly rewards even as free to play. the escrow is 50,000 for f2p, unlimited for premium and legendary. all episodes are free now. it is a good time to come back if im being honest. but of course they need to find ways to make money of course but its not nearly as pay to win as it was.

Has nobody realized that the allies are the new artifacts? The new scheme to bleed our wallets dry. Eventually we will need to invest in them to remain competitive. And they know the majority of us will pay to rank them up cause it takes forever the natural way. In their eyes artifacts are already played out meaning they are out of ideas for new artifacts and many of us have all the artifacts we will ever need already leveled up.

Completely agree. I knew it the second I saw them. It's a way to get the people, who have already ranked up their artifacts, to spend even more money, to remain competitive. I know they need to make money on the game. But, let's be honest. Artifacts are P2W. Allies are P2W. There's just no getting around that FACT. I'm convinced the entire point of stat-clamping was to make the gains you get from playing so small that you have to pay for any significant boost. Sure, your 400 feats (which took hundreds of hours to get) have increased your power level by 10%. Of course, you could just give them $200 and your upgraded Artifact will increase your power level by 25%. Toss us another $200 and your upgraded Ally will increase your power level another 10%. What's next? Dragonball style transformations that will cost $200 to fully level and will give you another 10% increase. And of course, let's not forget one thing about all of this. Episode 42 will come out and they'll add new Allies. And guess what. Those will be stronger. And people will spend another $200 on their new Ally.

I often wonder if they ever think about getting new players when they set up these systems? It seems they are trying to retain a few whales rather than expand the playerbase. I stopped playing about a year ago and there are no ways I would consider coming back with all these insane and expensive grinds. I'm just pissed off at how much these legendries cost to begin with! I thought they were going to be purchasable with earn-able in-game currency, like artifacts are with Source Marks, but they're like £25 each just to buy one of them! If you saved up loyalty points to get them it'll take you 5 months to get ONE! That's INSANE! Personally, I'd want them more for aesthetic purposes as I wouldn't really consider myself an elite player or a stat chaser. I don't really care about min/maxing damage output or anything, I just thought it would be cool to have, say, Batman show up and assist my Batgirl character. However, my Batgirl alt rarely gets used, so there's NO WAY I'm spending £25 (or waiting 5 months) just so she can have Batman show up for 10 seconds! I wouldn't even care if they took ages to level up, so long as I could get them!

None of those were broken at release though. Solar Amplifier happened when it was rank 200 which was well over a year after it was released. EoG is OP but its worked the same artifact wise, same with VWD, that had more to do with flurry shot and smokebomb mastery. If there were better weapon combos that weren't as short to fit in the 6s window then VWD wouldn't have been such an issue.

When queens support is active and debuffs I'm wondering if that act as a troll debuff letting us use the chain art to slow NPCs. It would be a cool way to tank and also make it so trolls aren't needed.they can just go dps and use the claw to buff because most players should be using cyborg to get more passive power back.

I feel very strongly that the main reason they didn't release legendary allies last week was NOT because they wanted to test them more or fix them....it was always about figuring out the #1 way to monetize them and at what price point or availability would make them the most money. Way to expensive. They could've done better man. But as of now they have started doing hotfixes since the beginning of the update so this doesn't really bother me. I think they are actually testing the game. This is literally the first time I've ever seen dcuo do a frequent hotfix on stuff. I know they gotta make money for the new tech their using to update the graphics in the game, pay DC copyrights to characters and voice actors and patents as well as new computer equipment and paying the devs. But if they truly wanna make this work they gotta step it up

Smh Again they need to give us the legend pvp loadouts there are over 34 that way they don't have to make new powers..We can level up each loadout or buy the whole 6 loadouts for like 8 dollars. I'm actually happy that they did this. The pricing does not make sense. So why would I buy batman if Cyborg does better? Simple answer: I wouldn't. Now I would have been really upset IF they had NOT nerfed Zoom and was doing half a million in damage every 90 seconds AND he was only purchaseable and would cost $200 if I levelled him quickly. That would really have been upsetting because it is definitely Paying to get high damage numbers and that "future nerf" would always be hanging over my head. I knew that the new owners intention was to increase in-game purchases which is why they wanted that population base to come back. Honestly, I think this is the local devs way of appeasing big new bosses while not screwing the player base.

Buff? Yeah they also need it possible to get them without paying real money. At least arts you got in game and you could lvl them slow but still do it. Not this. Its 100% pay.

@@Shadow497 I’m actually a fan of the pay to win system as well as free play. I personally don’t have time to grind like when I was younger so I rather pay the money in some cases. But not $200 for a 6 second ally.

@@dacariice19 the issue is is that you cant get them in game you have to pay for them. Arts you can pay for or get in game. But this you cant. Its different if it was just cosmetic but it's not. Now if they do have an OP one you'll have to pay for it and if you're not willing to pay for it you cant have it. That's my issue. Not to mention the fact that those 3 aren't even that good and half dont work.

@@Shadow497 I agree with all those points. I just happen to be a pay to play gamer now and I actually blame this game for that. I played this game since launch and this is still the only game I play where I have to pay a monthly subscription. And this is way before other games found a way to master paying real money for in game content. I have 4 games in Rotation and I don’t have time to grind them all out. I just came back this year after years away so you know I had to pay hundreds to build artifacts and I’m still working on them. So yes they should drop during missions but I do like how I can skip all that if I have the bread. These allies are cosmetic to me anyway at this point you don’t need them

They removed the Vault and Timecapsule Fragments................. That sucked. I wish they actually consolidated the Episodes. There's no reason for Doomed Metropolis and Metropolis and Green Lanterns Metropolis............. just make it a seasonal/quarterly event.

I dont see a problem at least for now tbh. If something is expensive and gives little advantage its just not worth it and you dont buy it. Id see a problem if legendary allies were op af and expensive, then the game is pay to win, but for now, just get a cyborg for 100 marks, lvl it up slowly and say: devs, u fucked it up

There's absolutely NOTHING that would justify spending this RIDICULOUS amount of money on a freaking online game? Take into account that all they do is pop up, for a few miserable seconds and they're gone, not worth even pressing the button to summon them. To each their own, but at the end of the day, t's still a freaking game, and nothing will ever justify wasting that much money on a virtual item, specially how the world is fucked up lately

This is why I LOVE playing Elder Scrolls Online. So much to do and you don’t even have to spend a penny to be at the top 😉 Only have to spend if you want cosmetics, pets, bas items, etc. If only DCUO would have done something similar...
