The only good thing coming from this is that it will increase traffic in a narrow set of instances for a time and that will hopefully help newer players completing instance feats or at the very least learn to properly play those instances.

Honestly I play many games on and off but sto is one I almost play every day just because of the rolling event. It works to keep me engaged so I think its a good idea here too. That being said I thought earning skill points from an event was cool until I realize they are selling event marks and its just put buying skill points into the game lol fs. Imo this would have been really cool if they didn't sell the event marks but I suppose you can buy out sto events. This wouldn't be as bad if the skill cache was limited like quarks one maybe you can only get 1 cache per event but this, this just feels like they want money and want will sell anything to get it.

Those contracts are very specific though, you know how DCUO can be very picky with their stuff.

10 is the limit. Once you buy the cache, DO NOT buy it again. The cache is useless for a toon that has already opened it. If you go to another character to buy those feats, it is much cheaper to use replay tokens. If you think of using it for the next outsider ops event, notice it specifically states 2024 therefore can only be used on the 2024 feats. These caches are meant to open the contract feat points within the event and not any other feats.

Nice breakdown of the event. Also completely unrelated question but do you know what is the highest melee damage weapon is in the game? Not weapon mastery but just the basic melee weapon tap.

if you are just looking at weapon taps, each will be a similar range, not that much of a difference. Basic Combo damage wise 1h would be fastest in spin chop and flurry. Slowest would be two-handed in doom spin.

Tbh, event feats/sp was always a paid thing. Now they're just skipping the styles and going right to buying/earning feats. I don't see anything wrong. You don't have to buy it and it gives people away to earn sp. I believe you can still get feats for the actual content too so this will help a lot of people that need them too.

#PAY2LEAVE is consistent with companies who cater only to consumers. Since this game has become a grocery store toy vending app, it's no surprise they would just sell nothing to nobody. Consumers will come, purchase a product, then leave. This DLC has seen a drop in population of about 75%. Just look at the quarterlies 6 months from now and see if profits have stayed the same. If they have then you have a viable "gym membership" business model that will perpetually feed itself independent of the few gamers left in the game who are attempting to support the actual play, which is nearly non-existent at this stage in EG7's business model for DCUO.

Ya there is still a pvp phase and some ppl still battle eachother over macho bravado but overall the player base thats left have no interest in pvp they are only playing the game so they can dress up their digital barbie dolls and pretend they are anyone but themselves

over time with updates DCUO killed pvp. They never took into account what changed in pve would impact pvp and gradually everyone lost interest due to imbalances and no updates.

Am I correct in understanding that after the event week (where every 7 days the player will collect 15 tokens in events), each player will buy one box, with which 10 feats of 100 points will be completed at once, which is equivalent to 10 SP, without spending a single coin of real money, unlike donors who will spend real money just because they can, and only in order not to wait a week playing events? And the duration of this event is from November 5th to December 2nd, which means 28 days of token farming, where in total each player will receive 420 tokens, 100 of which will be spent on the aforementioned 10 SP and a free box with 1000 quarks? If I understood everything correctly, then I have only one question: Are you donors normal, are you okay? Or enlighten me, what could I have missed in my reasoning on this matter

Idk why I had my hopes up that it would take on a “daily/weekly challenge board” where it would just be like - use 3 supercharges in a raid, rally 5 downed teammates, complete an alert without using a consumable. But it’s just a mini save the world event where we just Que into randomized old content to just earn marks to spend on lack luster rewards. I’m not mad about buying SP cause that’s been in the game wirh capsules and even just buying source marks to buy styles. But 45$ for 10 SP is straight robbery.

With stat clamp and boosting new cr skipping players to latest episode without gear...what use are skill points now? I tire of seeing ppl with low rainbow colored augs, no or low level allies and arts and two episodes back gear wanting carrying in latest episode. They don't care about doing feats as it to them is a waste of time. They can't have it both ways. Either feats and skill points mean something so they can make money selling them. Or they worthless as they currently are and no one will buy them They need to make skill points count again such as not only cr but sp required for episodes. I'm about done with this game. 12 years of busting my ass to be geared and ready for new episode...to be forced teamed with lazy bums that look like just loaded the game for the first time an hour before.
