To add on about artifacts there at the end, you should grab at least 1 artifact from each DLC and rank it to level 20, because there is a 25 point feat tied to each DLC artifact for rank 20. Those 25 point feats add up quickly.

@@Draega007 yea its not even worth it. Obviously you're probably going to play solely off of nostalgia for a bit at best. But then realize the game hasn't changed since its been on ps3, the dev team as we once knew it isn't the same and lost people that was working on the game back then, and the devs got money hungry. You CANNOT (not even exaggerating, you literally can't) play this game at a serious level without spending some sort of cash, and PVP is none existent and hasn't been updated in literal years (to the point where PvP gear can be outmatched by PvE gear in a 1v1 lol). Pair that up with the community being bad I'd honestly say just don't play it and that it isn't worth your time. If you want to check out an MMO i would suggest FFXIV which has about 50% of the game as a free trial, WoW, ESO, or OSRS. Theres also some newer ones coming out as well that are looking promising.

I play, well I played ff14 for a long time and will start back at some point but I had to cut some bills out and unfortunately ff14 was one of them. That game easily ate up almost all my free time when I was playing. I'll check out the other ones you mentioned and see how I like them.

While this video (and the series) isn't relevant to me (as I'm an end-game player), I still appreciate you doing it. There aren't enough decent beginners guides out there for this game. The few I've seen recently always seem to be from the perspective of an 'end-game player' (who actually spends money), and they seem to have forgotten what it's like to actually be a f-2-p player, and what restrictions are placed on you as a result. (I once saw one 'guide' in the forums recommending that free players should unlock Orbitals and Supply Drops as early as possible, despite the fact that non-subscribers won't even have access to them lol)

Lol, full disclosure.....I hadn't actually finished watching the whole video when I posted this comment, and coming back to the video, I noticed that Dack actually *does* mention unlocking Henchmen, Orbitals and Supply drops early @14:12 (I'll give it a pass though as you did mention at the start of the video that this was for people who were considering paying lol) So, for any new players who might be reading this, I'd like to add some clarity (as it's not made abundantly clear in the video). In order to gain access to these items (Henchmen, Orbitals, Supply Drops, White Mods and Sidekicks) you need to have access to the 'Lair' system, which lets you use the generator in your base. However, the Lair system WILL REQUIRE YOU TO SPEND MONEY in some way. It can't be earned in-game. You can access it in one of two ways. 1) You can buy the 'Home Turf' DLC, which I believe now comes bundled with the Utility Belt DLC (which you'll also need if you want to equip henchmen, an orbital strike and a supply drop at the same time). This bundle costs about $5 and will grant you PERMANANT access to your generator (and will allow you to have bigger bases too) or.... 2) Pay for a subscription (around $10 for a month), which grants you access to every DLC in the game (including Home Turf and Utility Belt). There are a *ton* of other benefits to being a subscriber (which I'm sure Dack will get into in later videos), but the downside of doing it this way is that if your subscription runs out, you'll lose access to all of those DLCs, meaning you'll also lose access to your utility belt and your generator until you renew your subscription. So, even if you've already spent the Source Marks to unlock henchmen/supply drops etc, you won't actually be able to use them anymore until you renew. Hope this helps out!

One thing I like to do with these training missions, is to take a character, and level it up to get the hang of a different power or movement mode. Learning something from the ground up is a good way to master a power/movement at no cost to your mains, or figure out that it isn't for you without buying a token.

I use to play this game years ago from launch all the way upto the dlc that introduced your own secret lair and stopped about 2 month into that one. Strongest dps SC is hands down berserk from rage, which in turn makes rage top DPS if done correctly ofc, munition would be 2nd because of how east it is to get such good damage.

Been playing since it came out really but I had sold my ps4 and quit gaming about 2 or 3 years ago and just recently got back into games and this was always a game I could go back to and play alot but now I'm so lost and have forgotten the terminology and how to clip powers and weapon attacks and mixed combos for light power and etc its sad but I hope to one day have the knowledge I once did and get back into DCUO

Champions Online is all but dead and i use it mostly as a character creator for my own Hero comic idea. City if Heroes Homecoming has changed CoX for me so much that i dont know what im doing and cannot readily find guides. So im considering getting back into DCUO

Came back to this game twice, really dislike how the powers work in dps now. Support roles are the way to go now but if you’re like me who started this game on ps3 playing support roles then you’d wanna switch it up a bit. But really dislike how the powers have changed dps wise. I just switched from fire to HDL because fire for some reason is very inconstant and im not sure why the devs left it that way. Fire does have decent damage but too inconsistent for me now. HDL is very confusing for mr though, so many combos to work with. Taking years off the game definitely felt good but bad for me now that im back.

They got rid of weapon Mastery Buffs. They got rid of PvP Healer Beats Tank, Tank beats troll, But They Kept Troll Beats Healer For Some reason. I Stopped playing 2014 or 2015 When Hapiness Home Raid Was New started again 2021. Artifacts Are New And do all the work now and Basically if your Arts(Artifacts) aren't 160 and up your not wanted in Elites

What power in DCUO would be most similar to a priest healer in WOW

I don't know a lot about WoW but if google is correct, a Priest Healer in WoW works with Buffs and Instant heals because you usually react to damage. Basically In DCUO buffs are handled by Controllers and the DPS themselves which leaves how they all heal. Healers in DCUO all have some degree of shielding powers, Heal over Time powers, and Burst Heals. Based on Google's explanation, it sounds like Electric or Celestial would be the closest to what you are used to. Nature is 90% HoT powers, Water Lives on its Shields and the Best AoE HoT in the game, and Sorcery is a bit Janky with a Healing pet that is less than reliable. Electric has the best selection of bursts along with having a great Supercharge Shield and one of it's bursts casts a safety net on your party that can only be somewhat mimicked by one of the game's artifacts. Celestial is probably the best all around healer. They use combos attached to most of their powers that open a variety of options. For instance, they have a good 4 man burst heal but you can go ahead and use the combo to get a strong HoT on 4 targets or their Priority (which is our tank heal) can be combo-ed into a curse that if the enemy you hit with it is killed, will activate another HoT. I hope that gives you some idea.

I stopped playing this game when they removed the feature to join the pvp world when creating a character. Ive always had fun attacking random heroes in pvp world. But they removed that feature and made it more Pve based which made me stop playing.
