What is the mounting depth of these? Looking to do this on an 18 SGS and trying to figure out if the hertz st25 will fit. Thank you

Caleb Tenney I cant say for sure without pulling fairing apart and measuring. I think they have the dimensions on there website. I want to say that I have heard of guys putting the hertz st25 in this location but not 100% sure on that.

From the info I can find. They seem to be the same size. About 2" deep and 2" round. I like the way you did it. Been trying to figure out if they will fit like you did. I like it

any reason this wouldn't work on a 2013?

Actually do you still have this bike ? If so how did you wire them up specifically ? And what are you using for 6.5 & Amp ?

How did you get the firing back on? I cant get it to close all the way
@kustomcycleparts5 жыл бұрын
you must have the horn threaded all the way down and then it should fit. if you try and mount it flush it will not fit. hope this info helps

Do you have to wire the horns to the capacitors that came in the box with them? I guess that’s what those are right?
@troybanks54216 жыл бұрын
Did you wire them straight to your amp or to the 6 1/2? And is the 6 1/2 in series
@michaelloggins11586 жыл бұрын
I was told a 1 5/8” hole for those horns. What size hole did you cut?

Hey There... Very happy you posted this video. Quick question... you don’t think you could have taken some material out of the fairing to get this things flush? I want to install on my SGS but this sticking out will drive me crazy.
@kustomcycleparts5 жыл бұрын
Kerry, I hear ya man I so wanted to make these flush mounted but i don’t think it is possible.

Kelly,I've finally gotten around to getting the VOB3's for my Street Glide. A couple of questions for you: What gauge wire did you use for the connections, and how does it sound with a few miles on it?Thanks!Rick
@kustomcycleparts7 жыл бұрын
Stone Cold USMVMC Hi, I believe I used 14 gauge speaker wire. So far they sound good, I think they would sound better if I knew exactly how to set up the amp and head unit settings.

Got them installed and connected, they sound real good. I'm using a DIamond audio 4 channel amp with fairing and lowers connected to one side and horns to other channel. Like you, I'd like to tune my amp but don't know how. Your video was very intuitive with only one exception. I had never used a hole saw, and couldn't get the pilot hole lined up with where I wanted to cut. SInce I figured the saw itself was doing the cutting, I removed the drill bit. Big mistake!! Not only did I booger up my fairing a little, I gouged my hand real nice. Needless to say, the drill bit went back in and the second hole was bloodless. Anyway, thanks for the video. You made the install simple to understand and very easy to do. Thanks much!! Rick

Still liking this setup? Any input on why the Hertz over the AW6.5?
@kustomcycleparts7 жыл бұрын
Marshall Boyle I like this setup although I think it would sound better once I get all the radio setting set correctly. My last bike I used JL audio speakers and I think those sounded much better.
