DD2 - Get Your 10's! Rerolling MODS in 2024!

Hey. Good choice for a video topic. 2 comments I have regarding the subject: 1) You can absolutely spam rerolls. When spamming (hover over the gold cost and click enter) the game defaults your choice to "No thanks", so the mod will ALWAYS stay the same tier. Except: when you get a 10 you are forced to take it. So you can't miss or replace a 10 by spamming. 2) The most efficient way of getting 10/10 mods is playing Wild Westival on C9 (short map, 3 tokens, 9 motes) and use the motes and tokens to reroll a C7 item (costs 1 token, 10k gold, 3 motes per reroll). Once the mod is 10/10 upgrade the item to C8 0/10 and transfer the mod to the desired item, ideally a C10 6/10 or higher. Some boss mods (bouncing phoenix for instance) requires either an AP reset and reupgrade to C7 or farm it on C9 and roll on it as is.

Thanks both MrJuicebags and m3rc333 for the tips. I just wanted to add regarding boss mods that you can devolve C9 gear to C7 at blacksmith which is probably cheaper than upgrading an item from Campaign tier to C7 after an AP reset.

As many have found and complained about. You can keep spam rolling and roll past your 10. That pop up window does not lock the MOD, it just auto accepts it. You can keep rolling away though. So it is possible to roll off your 10 if you are not paying attention!

I thought you only got 1 token per map run. Though I was running drakenfrost at C7 because that was what I could comfortable solo build on, it hard to find a carry for long grinds. However that was a few months ago and now I can comfortable do C9 solo build which I'm farming for shards. So does the C9 give more tokens than C7 or was I just misreading the drops?

@@PyroMancer2k Every difficulty in the game gives 2 tokens on drakenfrost/west maps - except C9 which gives 3. This makes C9 the best difficulty to farm on by 150%. And drakenfrost keep is probably the most tedious map to farm on due to the freezing mechanics. As I stated in my original comment Wildest West is the easiest to build and the fastest.

1 question I see a lot in game that I don't know the answer to is this: When a 10/10 mod drops naturally, does that reset our 286 reroll count?

It does not count towards rolling MODS. So many people think that it does I actually just recorded a test to see. 100% Main stat rerolls do not count toward the MOD reroll pity system.

So if I buy a perfect ten mod but it's on a campaign level item do I have to upgrade the campaign item to use the mod?

Yes upgrade the campaign relic to Chaos 8 before moving it to a Chaos 8, 9 or 10 relic. MODS cap out at C8

By the time you farm all the reroll tokens and motes you will have made enough gold on those maps to do the rerolls.
