This is so fascinating! Super cool, I bought ClayBook on Steam. I'm curious where I can access the SVD PD solver. Tried checking sebbbi on github, but couldn't find anything.

536MB for 1024x1024x512 67MB for 512x512x256 That's more than 586MB for the first 2 mips, not sure where they got 586MB.

Megabyte is 1024*1024 bytes. You are incorrectly using 1000*1000. First level is 512 MB. Second level is 64 MB. Third is 8 MB. Fourth is 1 MB. Fifth is 0.125 MB. Thus 512+64+8+1+0.125=585.125 (MB).
