Impressive but - how much cpu/gpu processing overhead does it create. The biggest limitation in Unreal 5 is the world bounds limit that constrains the player to an area of only 21km² which is pretty limiting for true open world games. Still great to see fluid simulation becoming more real. Now we need some realistic waves!

I wonder the extent to which this might be useful in approximating flooding in actual properties, if you could match the elevation and terrain alongside fluid physics?

This is awesome. Which engine are you using? Also, I purchased an RTX 4080 and on my Ryzen 9, 64GB Ram, I am only getting 12-27 FPS on 5.3 or 5.2. Can anyone relate or send me to a resource link that I can use to help figure out the issue?

it looks really good. The splashes are often clipping with the rocks, and the splash drops looks too clumpy sometimes and doesn't create smaller splashes. I miss foam being pushed up on the coast when there is a lot of salt water splashes.

The biggest litmus test for water physics is always around crashing waves. So many particles to capture. Notice they didn’t have breakers over ankle high in this demo.

Some more work on this, and you could actually have a realistic surfing game that forms waves based on different factors and you could go hunt them out and try to ride them... would be so good. Underwater contours, wind direction, swell and swell direction, and all different kinds of waves formed in an open world. My dream game, I'll probably be waiting a long time.
