DDA 1/24 Holden Custom Model Car

Here I introduce my DDA 1/24 Holden Custom Scale Model Car. Tamiya primer and Godhand sanding pads to create the foundation and finalize with house of kolor paint. layering pearls, metal flake and kandy. I hope you guys enjoy this build journey as i get closer to completion on this build.

Great to see an Aussie car. Usually we can only get U.S. car models here 'Down Under', (which are great, awesome heritage). That's one nice 'HQ Holden' there. Should be more! Beautiful paint work, mean stance. It's got everything!! Very talented work. Good to see something different. 👍 🦘

@@ScaleRiders this car is a Holden, which is/was a division of General Motors in Australia! So there’s a very real possibility that some of the styling cues used on North American GM’s were employed on the Aussie vehicles.

I love the AK Interactive chrome. I understand it's alcohol based, does it have an odor like lacquer or is it like acrylic? I ask because I'm limited to only shoot/airbrush acrylic in my home. Thank you in advance!

For the fade I laid out tape over the flake area across the car. When I sprayed the purple kandy it was over the tape from side to side. The overspray it was creates the fade. So don't spray your kandy directly on the panel. Spray it on the tape closest to the edge. I did about 4 passes back and forth. I was going for a light tone close to lavander on the kandy. I hope this helps.
