Sonic Beta Style Trilogy • Sonic Hack

ENG - It's no secret that I'm fascinated by the prototype versions of classic Sonic games and that I also love the hacks that are based on this universe and address this theme. And in this video I bring "Prototype" versions of the first three games in the Sonic The Hedgehog series. Remembering that Sonic 1 in the video is the "Sonic 1 Delta" hack and I play in Green Hill and Marble Zone and these two zones are very similar to what was presented to us in images of unfinished versions of Sonic 1. Sonic 2 in this video is the famous "Sonic 2 Archives" still in development and especially the "Hidden Palace" of this game is very well detailed and beautiful in addition to a completely redone and pleasant Emerald Hill. The Sonic 3 present in the video is the original prototype of Sonic 3 that was still in development in 1993, at that time the sprites were still like Sonic 2 and Sonic could use the Drop Dash.

E nesse vídeo trago versões "Protótipo" dos três primeiros jogos da série Sonic The Hedgehog. Lembrando que o Sonic 1 do vídeo é a hack "Sonic 1 Delta" e jogo na Green Hill e Marble Zone, essas duas zonas muito se assemelham ao que nos foi apresentado em imagens de versões inacabadas de Sonic 1. O Sonic 2 desse vídeo é o famoso "Sonic 2 Archives" ainda em desenvolvimento e principalmente a "Hidden Palace" desse jogo é muito bem detalhada e bonita além de uma Emerald Hill totalmente refeita e agradável. O Sonic 3 presente no vídeo é o próprio protótipo original do Sonic 3 que ainda estava em desenvolvimento no ano de 1993, nessa época os sprites ainda eram como do Sonic 2 e o Sonic podia usar o Drop Dash.

One thing i heard a while back during an interview with Ken Penders is that they had basically the beta designs/names for the sat am sonic show characters which is why rotor in rhe beginning comic's was Boomer instead. (And sally looked the way she did) part of me thinks this is why tails in the Adventures of Sonic show was brown fur. Because he was based off the beta deaign of tails in Sonic 2.

Well Sonic CD was originally gonna be a remake/port of Sonic 1 but that idea was reworked. You can notice the remnants of this idea through level design, theme and order. With Palmtree Panic being like Green Hill and Collision Chaos being like Spring Yard it only makes sense that Dubious Depths would have been like Marble which can be backed up with the little concept art we have and the cutscene snippet that plays during the credits it looks a lot like a ruin reminiscent of Marble :)
