9500 Revision L - Beyond Legendary

25 yrs now i feel old. Feels like yesterday i a had 9515 with a PPI PC2350 on each voice coil and a friend had a 9517 with 2 amps strapped to each voice doing 166db ON THE WINDSHIELD WITH JUST 1 SUB. I believe these quality subs changed car audio. I went from 6 15s to 4 15s to only 1 DD 15 wich was louder THAN 6 15s in the same car same amps

I had three 9515s on a dd m4a but I had to sell everything I owned because my son got diagnosed with osteosarcoma Wich is bone cancer he was only 16 years old he fought it for four years but we lost him he used to love loud music but he was worth it I miss him so much but I know he is in heaven watching over me

My dad was the 1 who got me and my brother into car audio. My brother had a couple good systems but I wish my brother was still around to hear my 2 systems. 1 system is up and playing and the other is still getting put together

Was just in Poptronics yesterday in Md. Was impressed by their top 10 dealer award. Would be cool to introducing a Truly digital designed subwoofer that had an accelerometer and a thermometer built in with a digital 12v display that was powered by the back emf. 2500 rms seems underrated. Does the 2500 watt "continuous rating" mean you theoretically could play very long sessions without the need to give it breaks? i run my 9515k on a minimum of 5k watts so im not sure why theyre rating so low

The 9500 will be more efficient, but if sheer excursion and pounding for hours at a time is your goal I'd go for the 800

@@DibeezyTheGiftedwell they make totally different subs but in terms of getting loud and getting high numbers i’ll take the dd especially with that cone area over sundown. but if im doing a demo build just for lows obviously taking sundown cause that’s what they were made for. its all just preference ill never say one brand is better cause they are not, unless your obviously comparing a skar zvx 15 to a z series dd audio or sddn 15 then your just being plain retarded cause ofc the skar is gonna be ass against those beasts. my point is it’s all just preference but car audio is so toxic lots of people will hate you if you don’t run a brand that has a well know name but as long as your bassin your good

i love the u series probably my top 3 subs from sundown but let’s be real at 5k watts thrown at both the dd is gonna be wayyyy louder without breaking a sweat while the u will be bottoming out and the coil getting toasted. my friend has the u 10s v2s and he’s only pushing 3k to them and they be reaching it’s xmax easily anymore and they will probably blow

A more sensitive sub isn’t necessarily a better sub. DD subs are built to handle insane amounts of power. A Walmart sub might be louder than both on 500 watts, but what about 10k or 20k?

@@kingwillie206 that was my point when he was saying the u series would be louder at half the price, yes at lower power it might be a bit louder but in terms of pushing the sub daily with 3k or 4k over rated power that u series would just give out while the dd will take that power without breaking a sweat
