I am the d/d player. I played game 1 very poorly. It was my first time playing against the new branded despia irl so I forgot that mirrorjade couldn't use it's effect again. Dog was wasted. I am pretty sure there was a game line but I missed it pretty hard after I misplayed a few times. Game 2, high caesar unfortunately cannot negate the field spell effect to fusion summon. Caesar only negates spell/trap cards and monster effects and not specifically spell effects. Game 2 I think I do agree with holding lancea instead of chaining to cosmic since it made my Copernicus send a lot more useless. If lancea was chained earlier, I would have an extra extender if I sent lamia instead and the trade-off is a pretty poor pot of prosperity you might not even want to use. Sorry for reading all the effects so much! Had to really double check everything.

@@optimusprime6436 it's great as a level 6 for that purpose in lines where I don't have to burn the second small gengis which is good for followup. It also forces out dpe, outs winda, and more so it's always been a great card for me.

Hi man, the whole time I was watching that I thought you played amazingly, a well deserved dub. Is there any chance I could get your deck list, currently very tempted to get back into the game and was planning on just playing branded cause its cheap and easy to get at the minute but tbh I don't really like it that much. Back in the day I mained blackwings and occasionally played D/D/D and would love to get them both back up and running. If you don't want the list public is their anyway I could get it from a dm. First off, good game to both players here. Some things that I had to say; • DDD was on point every game. They had a bit trouble breaking Despia board Game 1, but they did climbed out of it and tried at least. • Game 2 and 3 shows a great example of how inconsistent a deck can perform when you need those combo/bait cards the most. DPE bricks and hand traps are the worst when you need your deck to perform it’s win-con as quickly as possible. • DDD on the other hand had near perfect consistency, establishing its win-con board twice in the match, without seeing a single hand trap/ brick. Overall, great game from both players, hopefully the players had fun and learned from the matches Also why didn’t he chain Lance to cosmic? The world may never know:)

As much as I love despia Game one there was an illegal mirrorjade activation when it left the field. For mirrorjade to get it's effect to wipe it has to be fusion summoned but when he activated the effect said mirrorjade was summoned from banish.

We finally have a Yugioh card that is getting people to read card effects. That's the hidden effect of Mirrorjade The Iceblade Dragon. ;D Just to be clear, I mean this in a good way. For a newer player or one working on their fundamentals (like m), learning to read the card text to out cards and/or know your rulings is important to playing this game. Tl;DR: Read your cards got a buff. Bounce Mirriorjade back into the ED to avoid End Phase nuke.

D/D/D is easily a tier 1 deck. They problem is low representation because it is a difficult deck to pilot. Kudos to the D/D/D for making us look good still in 2022.

Years ago when xyz's first appeared, cards where only revealed at the time of the search not after the search resolved and another card has already acivated in a seperate chain. It was up to both players to keep track and remember the searched cards of their opponent during the next game state... Unless the card's text stated to keep the card revealed till otherwise.

Long gone are the days D/D/D died to a single Ash or interruption while needing a purchasable flow chart to pilot effectively. Holy shit lol I may never truly understand or play D/D/Ds myself, but to you guys who can; i applaud you players with intelligence on par with a quantum physics experts (indeed, i say some of you are) because watching a D/D/D player pilot it effectively is wild in the best ways possible.

I think DDD is like 1 Good extender (preferably a lvl 2 tuner) and 1 more starter from being a legit top deck contender. The combo lines are solid but the better DD end boards only truly happen when you go for 2+ card combos uninterrupted The potential is there, it just needs more staying power

They already habe a lvl 2 tuner. It's called D/D Ghost and its effects are also pretty decent for the grind game. If it's in grave you can target another card in the grave and put a card from your deck with the same name into the grave. If D/D Ghost is banished you can target another banished card and return it to the grave. This would work good with Necroslime and could be useful if you use more fusion DDD cards like Beowulf. I think with the new field spell, D/D griffin, deus machinex and D/D Headhunt its a really good deck. After griffin and deus machinex came out DD focuses way more on Pendulum and XYZ, instead of Fusion and Synchro. I think D/D would be top meta if it got a new Link card and maybe a tuner that supports Synchro-Plays since they are not really that popular in D/D decks at the moment. After the first turn you pretty much have no cards left to extend your play. You have your most cards in the grave if you used King Tell or normal wave king caesar to make your summons.

I honestly think a lot of these needed some inherent special summon condition to be more usable by themselves. Which is why Griffon was such a good addition, we need more instant bodies. You said it yourself, we need better tuners

The despia player search the branded theatre off of aluber. He already had branded fusion in hand in the first game. Also he did fuse albaz for lubellion. He shuffled albaz back into the deck off of lubellion's effect to fusion into mirrorjade.

Mostly correct with the Ad Libitum ruling (special summoned vs fusion summoned) except Mirrorjade doesn't require to be destroyed. It just needs to sent off the field by an opponents card to trigger it's nuke eff at the End Phase. So sending the dragon (sent, destruction, banishing etc) to grave or banish zone will trigger its end phase eff like normal. However..... If you managed to bounce Mirrorjade back into the ED, it goes back into it face down and therefore, it's End Phase nuke will not trigger because it needs to be face up to resolve it's eff (face down cards can't activate their effects). I think this also important to know so some branded players don't cheat you out of a win (either through intentional cheating or by accident, usually the latter in my experience). From the top of my head, a simple Compulsory Evacuation Device can do the trick going first (thank god this monster has no protection).

@@CaDDiLLaX215 theatre is Ight so far but it’s def the last thing you’d search for. It’s come up with the effect to float but rarely. Deck is cool but if you’re not playing adventure or draw into gamma the deck feels like a glass cannon. Also drama is nice early off opening going into boards but kinda buns opening. Which I’m probably gonna cut it

Thanks to everybody telling that Mirrorjade raigeki like effect can’t trigger because it specifically says « fusion summoned card »… So many people forget that and hardly think it will wipe and so they are protected.. and so many other think that they must scoop because never mind follow up get killed.. Thanks for that. Hell yeah. Team APS did a video about that in regards to match ups recently. In a sense, the key to outing cards lie in the card text. Revive Mirrorjade with like, Monster Reborn? It's a special summon from grave, not a fusion summon. No Raigeki eff at the End Phase ;D

Gonna have to bounce that Mirrior Jade back ED so they get no eff at the End Phase (ED monsters go face down. Face down cards get no effects) ;D Although having to remind your opponent that Paleozoic Opabinia is unaffected by monster effects is one of my early/lucky rulings (They try to Ash, Ogre, or Veiler but it fails because its a monster eff and you still get search a paleo trap lmao)

If you play both the Patchwork engine and a DPE engine with Despia, definitely should be on Denier+Mali instead of Celestial+Dasher. Wouldn't have mattered here, but definitely matters in overall performance.

Branded fusion summon lubellion by sending albaz and tragedy. CL1 lubellion pitching chain from HAND CL2 tragedy Resolve searching aluber then fusion summon by shuffling back lubellion and albaz. On resolution chain effect since it was sent from the hand
