Thats an autec bumper and an autec vvl sr16ve N1(RED TOP ENGINE) rare vary rare and original. Only about 250 models were made under autec brand. It was faster than the base line model vzr sr16ve built by nissan (BLUE TOP ENGINE) . In japan you could at the time in the 1990s the customers had a choice in buying a pulsar vzr with the optional autec body kit. There is a revised evolution two model with a different body kit with the later revised models. N1 models are rare there more base line models than these models. They can easily keep up with standard 6 cylinder cars no problem.

They best sr conversion is when modifying standard sr16ve blue top engine cylinder head to sr16ve n1 spec and associating n1 parts like cams, intake, throttle body and n1 cylinder head gasket. Fit it to a primera p11 sr20ve cylinder block or the after market larger piston coversion kits and please of all things get the sr16ve transmission as well as its an lsd transmission with close gear ratios. Very few sr20ves cam with lsd transmissions.

Both honda k series and Nissan sr engines are good I have two brothers who into toyota and Honda NA/ All motor cars. Vvt, vvl and vtec all operate on similar principles just depends on your preference and how much money you willing to spend.
