Ans - Yes, Z40 is a newer version but honestly video output is almost identical. I would recommend to go for mola N3 or 70mai A500S - amzn.to/33mGJDK, both are excellent in terms of overall performance. A500S is more stable as compare to N3. Also, Z40 is not compatible with most of the SUVs like Scorpio, Thar, Bolero. 2. How useful is GPS, can I get speed details without GPS? Planning to buy non-gps. Ans - GPS module is definitely an useful add on, it helps you track your vehicle speed, travelled routes and overall driving analysis (not useful in remote tracking or as a anti-theft protection). You can skip this add-on if your car has connecting features like Hyundai BlueLink or Suzuki Connect. 3. How much footage it records in a 128gb card if kept in lapse mode? Ans - It depends, at 1080p 30fps a 128 GB card can hold up to 35 hours of footage in loop. 4. CPL Filter not needed in Z40, i don't see any CPL filter available for this? Hi Brij, Sorry for the delayed response. Z40 supports 3 parking modes, an even based (Stand by), Normal (30fps) and the time lapsed one (1fps). And the A500S supports only an even based recording. Hope this helps.

Yes, the parking monitoring options are better in DDPAI Z40. Don't worry, the hardwiring kit offers an auto cut-off feature when the battery voltage is reached 12.4V, 12V or 11.8V. You can set your preferred voltage cut off in the app or dashcam settings interface.

Hi Tejzas, Unfortunately no, remote monitoring support nahi milega Z40 main, in fact 99% of the dashcams available in India do not offer this feature. And 60fps is really not required in dashcam footage. However, if you still want to explore some options you can check Viofo or Thinkware series but i doubt there are options available under 15K. @@PRATHMH Yes, the external TF card offers you a bit more convenience .However, eMMC inbuil storage is more reliable and 10X superfast as compare to a SD card. Mini5 offers 64GB of eMMC flash drive and can hold up to 7 hours of non stop drivig/parking time in 4K UHD and I think that is more than enough to back up your entire week footage assuming you drive around for an hour on a daily basis.

I have a confusion, I want to buy 70mai pro plus+ but it has lithium battery, which is not safe in summers, so I thought I will go for ddpai z40, but it don't tag the video with GPS location. So any firmware update is available which can tag videos with GPS location ? Or any updated version of z40 is available? Or is it really safe to go with lithium baatery of 70mai, I know they say they have certification of safety for 65 degree c. Is it possible to protect DDPAI Z40 dashcam inside cabin with password ? So, no other than owner can operate it. Currently it is easy to operator camera by anyone who has access vehicle. Recently I sent my vehicle at service center & gone for my job. After service I received my vehicle and I went home. Next day i checked camera footage but no any video was there. Even previously recorded all videos was vanished. Card had zero video. Memory card storage was 128gb and also camera doing loop regarding. So, no any storage issues was there. Clearly there was camera tempering inside cabin.

Honestly both are excellent in terms of overall video quality from the front camera, rear camera and screen resolution are better in Z40. Also, if parking mode is your priority then definitely Z40 is recommended amzn.to/3hFuypv. Yes, both support 1080p video resolution at the rear and video output is almost identical during daylight. However, ddpai z40 performs better in low light. Regarding the parking modes, A800s supports an event based parking monitoring, it will record only in case of an incident while your car is parked. Z40 offers time-lapse, stand by and normal recording modes, it can record continuously up to 48 hours or you can switch to the stand by mode as per your need. Hope this helps
