@@DDS825 I thought about doing the same too because my videos on the keyboard received more people complaining about it rather than embracing it, which I tried to do. I'm going to test it out on my keyboard tonight and see if I can get a good beatmaking session with it.

Great video! Total noob here. Would you know if play assist will now work with my MPC Live 2? I am trying to avoid any PC involvement and I'm willing to sacrafice functunality for what seems to be the best lighted key guide. I'm assuming transport controls are out of the question but hoping I would have a few controls. My other option is the Novation SL Mk3 61. Any thoughts would be appreciated. Thanks for your content!

but maschine mk3 already have a chord mode, arp and everything, and still works a lot better. I hope that play assist works in ableton and it records midi that you hear when in that modes. maschine actually got all that working from day 1. feels like NI was another company back then. now when I got the KKmk3 and all that was missing I was really surprised, until I knew the company is not ran by the same people anymore. they now releases that unfinished product, so when each one of these updates comes up, it is very noticed and they makes another buzz on the internet, the product’s name keeps ringing.

hey bro ? mk3 wont work in the new machine update it works in everything ese is there another certin set up for it it works with my vst when I lunch them stand alone works with presonis studio 7 but wont in the mk3 software help please was up all night trying to solve this i know you know the go to guy for ni software an hardware issues thanks bro

Did you go to your midi settings and check for the Kontrol MK3 to be turned recognized. *I'm not near my computer at the moment to give you the exact title. But, is the Kontrol MK3 box checked?

Integrated into what exactly? It already acts as a plug-in for drum programming or triggering a multitude of sounds. What else are you expecting it to do? I'm failing to see what you guys feel like you're missing with this.

@@cavrenodem2436 with the 2 previous Native Instruments keyboards, you were able to have more control when using it in Maschine. You could control the transport, quantize, etc. Also, when you set the scale on the maschine it automatically set that scale on the komplete kontrol and vice versa. You could mix with it, etc. But, I personally never did that. I think some people just want it to function like the older versions.

@@DDS825 Uh huh, i see. When i had my Maschine i'd just use the transpo on the actual unit, all mixing is done in Pro Tools and setting scales? Never heard of a function like that. But i come from MPC's and external keyboards, so i'm used to each machine having it's own function. And setting scales. I just play mine, so i'd have to assume that function is only useful for people that can't really play keys... To each his own, whatever works for folks i guess.

I went from cubase to maschine and don't want to return. It's simplicity in not looking at screen and getting a eat out in moments is amazing. Great for when you just want to make music right now, no mouse clicking.

That's crazy that it wasn't working with the maschine. You might as well go on and switch to the MPC . And they vst's in the MPC if fire. And you can use in Daws as well. Hook any midi board up to it.

@DDS825 give a try it take some getting use to coming from maschine but I'm a Dawles type of guy I had 3 Maschines but I wanted go go back to analog. Even tho I still love Maschine and u can't compare the two.
