At the age of 14, my nephew (my father 2nd marriage, so my nephew was older than me by 6 yrs) was the dj for Mormon Youth dances held around the Bay Area in Northern California, from San Francisco, San Mateo, San Bruno, Foster City and in Oakland ect ect.. I was dj help, helping my nephew setting up dj equipment and crates of vinyl .. so many times, my nephew and I would spend hours in Berkeley looking for records.. and being 14 yrs old, I was moved by De La Soul's music and A Tribe Called Quest and at the same time, the West Coast music as well.. and for decades I was keeping up with De La Soul.. in 1987 I was 14 yrs old. Thank you De La Soul I'll make sure Dave sees this 🙏❤ My nephew past away in 2001 .. so he even knows what De La is
