I could watch/listen to this car for hours, if the whole race vid was available. Pantera is love of my life already, and this one is the best sounding one, along with Palmieri's. Thank you for sharing...

Love the “active aero “ or was it cooling vent.? There was no holding back 👍
@FrenchSpeedConnection5 жыл бұрын
Ricky Austin it could have been a new patented cooling system but it was just the hood locks that went off. A pit stop at Le Mans costs so much time and the hood seemed to stay in place so we decided to keep on.

Thanks a lot. Is the Herbert Muller GrIV ? The car with the 302 km/h record at Le MANS 1974 ?
@FrenchSpeedConnection6 жыл бұрын
Yes this is the Ex.Muller Group 4 that broke the top speed and lap record for a GT car at the Le Mans tests in March 1972. It also raced at Monthlery and the Monza 1000 Km.

Holy crap the hood is open! is that engine a 351C? It does not sound like one.
@FrenchSpeedConnection6 жыл бұрын
Ryan Way it is a 351 Cleveland. 532 HP @6900 rpm. And the open hood is a FSC patent for maximum cooling :-)

@@FrenchSpeedConnection It sounds SO good!

There are some other exhaust configurations they run on Panteras that make the engine sound very different from what you might be used to.

The engine is under the rear hatch not the front, so the maximum cooling is just for the radiator venting. I, instead, have the heat exhaust vents right above the radiator.
