I could not disagree more with D Dubya about being like other sports (1:29:43). Look at how far NASCAR has fallen over the last 2 decades, almost entirely because of trying to be like other sports. It's like trying to straighten out the objects in Salvador Dali paintings to make them "fit in" with the rest of the gallery, or adding a laugh track to The Office to make it more like traditional sitcoms. Racing is just too different by nature, and that's a good thing; if I wanted to watch football I would.
