Thanks for these performances Jochen. I like that you release these performances little bits at a time. That way, there is more to look forward to, thank you so much.

i mean, wow! And actually, I liked the drumming. Some have said he’s out of time. On Crossroads, the 2nd and 4th beats of the bar are so emphasised that the 1st & 3rd beats “disappear”. Dea Matrona’s performance of Crossroads is a faithful reproduction of Cream’s. Ginger Baker plays the drums in a similar fashion. Combined with Jack Bruce’s divergence away from playing 4 to the bar on the bass, at times the solid 4 beat is only in their heads. That was the virtuosity of Cream and it is to Dea Matrona’s credit that they can reproduce it. It’s hard.

watch crossroads on the rooftop live stream or the limelight concert or the original busking version - no comparison.

Dea Matrona ("divine mother goddess") are truly the best band I've seen, listened to and followed in recent years. Shame the drummer was what I'd call sloppy sticks, timing was off and not one clean strike. Orlaith and Mollie have an abundance of talent and will go on to achieve greater things ... on the other hand the one behind the drums can always try his hand as a panel beater

Orlaith and Mollie are great and are talented musicians. Keep rocking birds.🎸🎸 Find a drummer that is on time and doesn’t sound like he pounding nails.☹️

I agree with the comments about the drummer....too much, too loud. Drums are there to support the music, not step all over it. With Mamie on the skins, this band had just the right sound with the percussion supporting the harmonies, not tramping on them. With Mamie and the harmonies, this band is unique and one of kind. With too much drumming, they slide in the direction of being a garage band. Let the harmonies and the upfront musicianship shine through.....please!
