one of the many things that make them so good as both ladies are equally good on the instruments / singing and now they are putting on quite a show! their originals are really good, play more of those ladies!. the drummer fills out their sound, even though I enjoyed mamie's development as a drummer

I think they use a short scale bass (as did Jack Bruce when he played for Cream). I wonder if that makes it easier for them to swap guitar and bass and also to play the tricky bass lines on this.

In their earlier busking videos they're using a white full-scale Bass with a black pickguard. In an interview somewhere they said that indeed they switched to the Mustang-style short scale Bass because it made it easier to swap with Guitar & not have such a difference in stretching fingers. But also if you watch the videos with the white Bass they're playing plenty of tricky lines even back then.
