I think I'm right in saying Bonnie Raitt plays this in open tuning where as Molly takes the more difficult root of standard tuning and stills absolutely nails it - these ladies talent is amazing. I was stunned when I noticed on different songs they can swap instruments and on the Carole King number the keyboards is spot on. They really deserve much acclaim !!

RumpleD Skin You may be right as for current music trends. But as the girls, besides covers, do write their own material and some of their KZbin videos have already received 250,000 hits not to mention TV coverage. IMHO they are already getting some acclaim and I can see the likes of ABC booking them to open for a big name.

I must admit that I haven't had much interest in music these days. I'm 68 and was brought up on soul/motown and some rock from 60's and 70's. particularly liked cream and the Kinks but these girls?? Just fantastic and such a shame that they are unable to do live gigs as they warrant an audience, with their unassuming presence, flexibility and supreme talent, they are the best I've seen in a long while. Yes, they look good too!

The ladies did a great version of this song. Funnily enough, this song was written by a MAN, by the name of Chris Smither. Chris is a great singer songwriter artist himself who is worth checking out, and he doesn't mind at all that its known as a Bonnie Raitt song as the royalties bought him a house.

It is hard to say anything new about Dea Matrona that we have not already said. However, Mollie's vocals here are amazing. The playing is great as usual but Mollie's tone here is terrific.

Yup - they're both great singers and players in their own right, and more so together, but Mollie's really distinctive voice is a (not so) secret weapon. But It's Orláith that holds the groove best (along with Mimi, of course.) I love the three piece vibe, but I wonder what they could do if they had a dedicated bass player. Orláith could crack out these riffs and licks, and it would free Mollie up to play guitar, keys, or whatever to suit the song.
