this was one of my moms favourite songs when she was alive. its also my favourite deacon blue song. living in the states now (from newcastle) every year when i go back home to visit family having drinks with the family n friends we'll play this song and sing it all night.. touching song. brings a tear my eye

come to think of it, when I (as an Englishman) think of Scotland, I do think of dignity. Scotland seems to be a country that still knows a bit about what it means to be (or to try to be) good, and to know its value
