Sorry nobody seems to be giving you much background info about the epic project that includes Starry Night. This could get a bit long so I apologize in advance but I'll try to provide some facts and my interpretation of the project's concept. Starry Night is the title track from Yellow Flower, the first album in Mamamoo's 4 mini-album project called 4 Season 4 Color. Prior to Starry Night they released Paint Me as a pre-release single from the album. Paint Me is the theme song for the project and it introduces the color associated with each member and the primary emotion or mood associated with each color, along with an MV drenched in symbolism (colors, seasons, music, time passage, life cycles, etc). The way I summarize the 4 Season 4 Color project is that MMM is painting self-portraits in music using the colors and seasons as their thematic palette. Each album featured a solo song by one of the members and that member is referred to in the album title Here's a list of the four albums, their title tracks, color, season, featured member and their solo song. Yellow Flower - Starry Night. Yellow/Spring/Hwasa. Solo song Be Calm. Hwa = flower in Korean. Red Moon - Egotistic. Red/Summer/Moonbyul. Solo song Selfish (feat Seulgi from Red Velvet). Blue;S - Wind Flower. Blue/Fall/Solar. Solo song Hello. The S obviously refers to Solar. White Wind - Gogobebe. White/Winter/Wheein. Solo song 25. Wheein's name sounds like the wind. It's easier to see in the Egotistic MV than in Starry Night but how the Paint Me concept plays out in the songs & MVs is that each member interprets the emotions associated with the title track lyrics & that season's color in a different way. So in Egotistic we see four different "red" personalities - the jaguar represents Hwasa's wild fierceness, Moonbyul tosses the chair red-hot with anger at her egotistic lover, Solar is sexy & passionate, and Wheein is an incendiary badass bitch on wheels. 4 Season 4 Color is an epic, unprecedented project by a kpop girl group. As usual with Mamamoo it was an artistic and commercial success but didn't really get the attention it deserves as an historic achievement and an artistic masterpiece.

You will never listen to 2 similar tracks by Mamamoo, those 4 ladies covered a lot of music generes and their unique voices are used like instruments for enrich the music base. Another interesting fact you will learn by listening to their music is that even though you know their voices are amazing they always find a way to surprise and impress you with something new. The last part of the video is a completely different song, Hwasa's solo called "Be calm". She co-composed and co-wrote the lyrics ( Yes, Mamamoo are true artists ) the song is dedicated to her late uncle who was like a father to her, it's such a wonderful song and her voice...will blow you away once again.

Every music video the locations, the looks, and more than anything their vocals are just _chef's kiss_ Next you should try gogobebe (their latest comeback), Piano Man, Wind flower.. or any of their MVs, really.
