I am thinking of buying a Wolverine however I came across the JMAC muzzle devices that come in different AK thread pitch with the keymo cuts so that you can use any suppressor that is compatible with a keymo mount, so it makes me contemplate why even bother getting a Wolverine if it was designed just for mounting AK thread pitches when you can get a muzzle break for a fraction of the cost and run whatever can you have that’s keymo compatible. What benefits does the Wolverine have other than being able to accommodate AK thread pitches that other dead air silencers don’t?

It's effectly a fancy Sandman S. I have a JMAC 24mm mount for my K and S. Other than looking goofy, that would probably be a better way to go. The Wolverine LOOKS great, and CAN accommodate off center barrel bores with its 8mm end cap, but with the amount of US Made barrels these days, I feel that probably is a little over blown. You should check alignment on every barrel you mount.

Man the overcomplicated mounts really suck, I think they do it so they can advertise their cans as being "universal" or working on many different guns, but in the long run its probably better to have a direct thread can for each firearm. Its not Just dead air either Ive had issues with SiCO and Rugged in addition to dead air. Do you happen to know if the "old" Saker mount (i think it was the trifecta...?) can be upgraded to the ASR system?

Good info! I don't have a Dead Air suppressor with a Keymo but I was looking to purchase one as well as a HUB conversion for my Wolverine. I was also going to purchase Keymicro for a Ghost M that I have. I think that this video my have persuaded me to go with the Xeno on both. In reference to my Wolverine, I have not experienced the same mount problem that you have, though I'm sure that I haven't shot it as extensively as you. I'll definitely be cognizant of that potential problem if firing extensively on AK's.

You just gotta keep an eye on it. I've put about 3000 rounds through my Wolverine. I don't take it out much anymore since AK ammo is the same price as 556 right now.

Just for Me, My Dead-Air Wolverine with the Hub adapter (Tight w/blue loc-tite) then the Keymo and I use only JMac Muzzle devices on 3 AK-47 All have K&S Pistons on 2 and M90 has an adjustable gas block so I can adjust the Gas and I use a 350carbonX arrow shaft works perfect for alignment for 7.62. and a Huxworks carbon 223/556 Rod to guarantee that I have had Perfect Results. You gotta put the sh@t on TIGHT and use the wrenches and Vice to do it!

I wonder if your Wolverine issues stem from it being an earlier model. I’ve mounted my wolverine on my PSL, 91/30, and a couple AKs I have. I have never had an issue with the locking collar coming loose. My serial number is the 7000’s, but I also don’t have a high round count through it.

I shoot it pretty heavily. Idk how the "lock ring" (as shown in the diagram on TFBs website review) coming loose could be related to serial number, but maybe.

I am an owner of the wolverine and I have had issues getting the wolverine on and off. I wish there was a good tutorial explaining how to do it.

My wolverine just got approved, and its mounted on my wasr-10 using the standard left hand thread. What do you recommend i do to make sure I dont experience your difficulties? Will red locktite on the collar and plumbers tape on the muzzle threads be good?

I would not recommend locktite at all. The thread adapted needs to be torque to 50ft lbs. The specs for torque should be in the instructions. You have to mount it in a vice to correctly remove and install the thread adapters.

Wait, so you filed your form 4 and two weeks later you were cleared?! I have Sandman-K (which I love) and my Wolverine is at the gun shop rn waiting for me to file my e form. Hopefully I can get mine out of jail as quick as it was for you.

No? Each form took about 11 months. Once my form 4 was approved, it took me a couple weeks to go pick it up

@@MaverickTangent Was any of those the new E-forms? Or the old style. I heard of people getting there cans in less than three months with the new e form.

@@ghernandez6457 no. My only efile Form 4 I've done took 8 months. I believe 266 days. But my Form 1 efiles have been about 40-60 days. Haven't done a Form 1 in a while.

Thanks for the video. Im leaning more towards Xeno but I’m thinking of just playing the long run game and direct thread everything. Just need to be patience and acquire slowly over time

Xeno is technically direct thread. But you do get the taper, weight, and cost savings. If I was gonna give advice it would be that you're gonna run the can basically in 1 setup. You won't change adapters or end caps or whatever as much as you think.

I have that same exact issue with the Sandman S new out of the box. Teeth are out alignment but mine only takes half a click to realign.

I have a Zpap 92 and I bought the collar left hand thread and the fucken dead air always fucking backs out and loosens. It bloody sucks !! And it sucks because the suppressor gets super hot so I need a pot holder to retighten it up and it causes me to get super pissed , through it in the truck and bloody go home !!! I hate it !!!
