Me too! I love COVE & I get like a weird proud feeling listening to this, even though I don't even know him. But knowing what happened with Saosin, and how that must have led to feelings of inadequacy and how they said his voice had deteriorated and all that stuff back in the early 2010's, even though they had just put out ISOSG, (which is objectively just a fantastic album and his vocals were absolutely phenomenal. I probably play it once or twice a week, AT LEAST! ) , it's just awesome knowing that he climbed his way back to the top! Whether or not it charts at the top, it kicks ass that he's BACK! COVE IS BACK! AND BETTER THAN EVER!!!!!!!!!

Fan Interpretation of this: Theres always been a tug of war between Cove, Saosin, Anthony and the fans.. from the exit of Cove to this point, The song entails a broken bond where party A seems to have moved on but party B keeps returning to the scene of the crime, party A is always dragged back and is infuriated because the crime scene brings up emotional pain and is vexxed as to why party B keeps making a comeback. For me the parties are interchangeable Party A could be cove, Party B the fans, or vice versa or Party A "Dead American" Party B "Saosin", the video depicts what looks to be the saosin beetle but its white and encased (looks prestigous), presumably marking the Legendary self titled album that we all love from saosin. The girl could be representing time, running through mountains and different terrains, shes seems to be vexxed and at the end throws the case into the wilderness because it has run its course and marks a new beginning. As a fan of saosin i was bummed when Cove left and went on a hiatus, from what I gather he left or was released by the band due to his slipping live performance, Im sure he went through it because the bandmates were his big bros and fans/haters probably dragged him through the mud. Im glad hes back with a kickass band and with the tasteful lyrics and heart crunching sounds, cant wait for more Mind you this all could be bull sh*t 😂 but its fun to interpret these things and have dialogue,
