The float is bobbing around because you had no weight on. If you stick a 1-2oz ledger, bomb or even a heavy swimfeeder on that will keep your bait and float in place (if your aim is to static deadbait). Pike are more aggressive in hot weather and the reason people say deadbaiting is better in the cold is because there's more chance of deep hooking a pike in the heat. Good luck!

How it goes on the canals I fished yesterday had nothing 2 days before I had a double and a younger lad about 11 had a 20 pounder close to me and it’s only a tiny canal

I would watch some videos on how to handle/chin pike definitely something you need to learn when pike fishing also ignore the little nibbles and let the bite develop but strike as soon as you can if that makes sense when float fishing was most likely little jacks playing with your bait also your tank is way overstocked am not sure if you plan on moving them but I would advise it your kribensis pair need a 20gallon alone you have a tank full of schooling fish which would also require a bigger tank and more fish an overstocked tank can lead to alot of issues it’s hard to keep on top of water changes bullying in the fish can also occur because of not enough room hope you get them sorted 👍🏼

@@Brodie.bell1 I clean the tank weekly, the fish are fine in there for now as their only small, I’m getting a 300L tank as soon as possible so I can move them and get a lot more fish over time 👍🏻

@@WilfeFishingare you testing the water parameters watch out for ammonia spikes Weekly water changes is good I would get them into a bigger tank asap as you will soon have problems I wouldn’t add anymore fish until you get that bigger tank 👍🏼

Most likely perch/zander trying to take the bait….go back with a pack of small roach or some small lives…use the lightest float you can get away with… keep up the vids brother and stay away from that tony church fella 😂
