The BIGGEST River Fish I've Ever Caught! Smashed It at my Feet!

This video I go big or go home using some of the biggest baits i have to try and get a big pre spawn pike before they get jiggy. I go lure fishing on the canal/river with a mate, he always takes the piss when I’m using 20-28cm lures, saying I won’t catch on them as they’re too big…. I’m gonna prove him wrong one day!!!

Thanks to your videos I've gotten decent at catching Pike in my local canal. More importantly I've gotten good at handling them correctly and with care. I Give them lots of rest after unhooking and as mentioned here. Try not to dump them in a net with back hooks exposed. Valuable advice Chris!

It's always incredible when the smaller pike smash bigger lures (of course it's more exciting when it's a real monster though). I'm always blown away by how opportunistic they are. Some fantastic footage. Some great fish, those are some pretty decent fish on that smallish canal and that river pike is a real beast.
