For the first time in a long time, the 1st layer was changed with PTB. I thought that the entire chase music was completely changed, but no. Thanks for leaving layer 2 - these cellos are great. The 4th layer has become more aggressive and dynamic compared to the PTB. I really like the new version.

Man, the first layer in the PTB was so atmospheric and fit Portia's character really well as it perfectly captured her tragic spiral into madness being stuck on The Dragon's Tooth for years. Layer 2 and 3 are fine, but that droning sound in the chase theme.. it's not a bad idea, but i feel like it'd be better if they toned it down a bit and brought back the accordion.

Imma be entirely honest. This is the first time in a very long time where the new version of the theme is entirely worse imo. Like this new theme definitely isn’t bad by any means like it’s definitely still great but the old terror radius and chase theme were like 1000 times better than this version. Like if Michel just changed the chase layer that’s one thing but he also changed the terror radius when that was absolutely not necessary. Like I really Hope Michel at least reverts the terror radius back to the PTB version. Like personally I’d revert the chase layer back to the PTB version too but if he just changes back the terror but keeps the current chase layer I’d be totally fine with that too. Edit 1: Honestly now that I think about it, I think the best option for the chase specifically would be to take the current chaotic accordion and put as a quieter backing sound to the PTB accordion where the PTB accordion is the main instrument that is front and center while the live accordion plays in the back which would definitely make the chase theme sound much more threatening than the PTB version in a great way. Edit 2: They have reverted the current chase theme back to the PTB one which is perfectly cool with me even if I’d personally combine both the PTB theme and the old live theme. Either way it’s very much a W compared to the old live chase theme.

My problem is not the new chase, that part seems way more creepier and imponent, but why did the layer 1 and 3 change? The layer one would be ok if a bit louder, I mean I barely hear it, and I also noticed this in game, it's almost completely silent; and what was wrong with layer 3? It was amazing like it was, even if the change is minimal I liked it way more before.

I dunno how to really explain it but the new layers, including the chase layer, sound more "organic" with the new background theme. The PTB one sounded less smooth, almost midi-like (which is a nitpick i have with dracula's theme too), I don't know if I'm using the right words though

I don't get everyone saying they like the new layer 4 chase theme. The accordion is so grating on the ears. Maybe it's fine as survivor when you only occasionally hear it as you get in chase, but as killer when that's the only thing you're going to hear throughout the entire trial it's going to get annoying really fast. The rest of the changes in the other layers are fine imo. Nothing that makes it amazing compared to the PTB, but also nothing that made it significantly worse, all very neutral changes.

They just took out pretty much all the background effects from the old one. It sounds really empty now for no good reason. If the original needed anything else, it maybe needed some more effects and a little more variety, and they just straight took away from what they already had. Ironically, with all the people’s flak about the new accordion, I actually like the new accordion more than the old one. It has a more atmospheric sound to it that I find more engaging over the boring eighth notes of the first. That being said, man they dropped the ball with this one.
