I wouldn't say it's BAD per say, but definetly different than what most players are used to. They just seem dead set on making them this way.

i think people tend to forget who the theme is for. i mean be honest, a theme similar to Weskers wouldnt work at all to capture the Aliens vibe. i personally love this chase theme as it sounds how i think being chased by the Alien feels like. idk just my opinion!

It doesnt need to be like Weskers’s in the sense that it’s grandiose and orchestral-Because you’re right, that wouldn’t fit a Xenomorph at all. The problem with this chase theme is that it’s literally a 2 second loop that repeats endlessly, with zero variation. If they literally just extended the existing theme and added some slight variation to the chase theme before it starts over it would be 10000x better.

So I'm not gonna lie, I haven't watched Alien. But for critics, this music may also be based on something in the movies like Michael's music. So give it some consideration that this might be what it is. Cause the layer three into layer four reminds me of sirens. Overall, it definitely gives shocking creepy uncomforting vibes. But it would probably get annoying like people are saying just cause of the repetitiveness and people saying it was like washing machine Ghostface. But people also started to miss that music after they took it away. So don't complain too much.

I watched all the Alien films, and, uh.. They usually don't even have music, or are very light on it. What music they do have sounds nothing like this. I'm actually disappointed by the music as an avid Alien fan because the soundtrack to Alien is heavy on the orchestra and harsh string instruments.
