This is a villain song done right. Miquella spelling out his manifesto, exulting in his ascension, calling his enthralled servants to his side, and dictating the terms of his new order: "You can choose to kneel, or be made to, the end result is the same." But then at the end, you hear the opening bars of "Shed No Grace On Me" heralding the arrival of the one who refuses to be embraced.
@esgown41845 ай бұрын
Not only that but the hym at the end is more grandiose with the organs. It feels more akin to the heralding The Tarnished Lord. (Also dam that is a song/boss title by itself.) Is it just me who wishes that they do a new version (maybe a live ver) of Shed No Grace, like they've done for Undead Lullaby. It would be a more sombre and slower pace, yet would have the grandiose of the organs/distant choir chant. It represents how we tarnished has mellowed and matured from overcoming the Lands Between. Yet the strings/guitar of shed no grace, being a constant rift, presents our unfaltering conviction that surpasses the very gods. Also, them doing this would be the perfect opportunity to sneak in quibs at the different endings- simps and arsonists.

I like the way this song portrays Miquella. Someone with a soothing voice and kind words who nonetheless accepts nothing less than total submission. Plus he talks about things that would horrify others so casually like giving up his kindness and melding others souls to his vision. I think when he says he's no longer a saint he only means he's no longer St Trina because he doesn't realise how horrific some of his deeds are. Also love the inclusion of some lines about Malenia. He left even her to pursue his goals but he seems to miss her still in this song. Also loved the final bit of music because Shed No Grace On Me was all about the Tarnished defying the Golden Order and the demigods apparently seeking to purge the influence of everyone of them which we do in the Age of the Stars ending. Once the Tarnished finds out that at the end of the day Miquella is not so different from his mother they realise that he also needs to be defied and brought down.

Theres no one to rule and so the outergods now have a feasr and no ranni didn't banish anything she just got rid of a order and made everything worst in the end and now will have to eitger deal with a possible pissed off greater will which will kill her and the tarnished or she comes back and sees the land just dead or rotten or worst

also one of the lyrics being like "when this omen fell, i seized it" means the ppl writing this listend to the mogh's follower saying that the dead body was stolen by miquella/his crew which is real attention to detail. some people say that rahdan is somehow in the body of mogh but idk.
@Kal-2135 ай бұрын
@@CashOut670 Spoilers... Miquella charmed Mohg and forced him to bring him back to his palace. He abandoned his flesh and went to the land of shadows. When we killed Mogh, he had his followers steal his body, and then he placed the soul of Radahn (which evidence points to also being unwilling) into Mohg's body as his "promised consort." When we fight Radahn again, you can see that he has omen horns on parts of his body, and he occasionally uses some of Mohg's bloodflame. It is theorized that he sent his sister to weaken Radahn or kill him for him to be able to take his soul.

His sister left to rot, of his brothers two were controlled and the attempt to save the other was abandoned, his other half left at the bottom of the fissure with only putrefied remains for comfort. My lord of Frenzy needed very little convincing. "I abandon here my Love" was when the Kind became a target.

YOOOOOOOO THIS SLAPPS I genuinely thought it was gonna be a Messmer song from the first few lines, and then it hit that it's for Miquella and i was like "*OH-*" it felt really cool (even if i am now a bit sad it Isn't a Messmer song HGFVG) i absolutely love the way this was done though, the vocal work is amazing (god that range of style!! always dope as fuck to see that get flexed) and the fact the instrumental has this almost warped lullaby vibe??? oh my god??? it's so fucking cool that's so clever and i love how that bit that's like "i'm splintered (now twinless)/i miss her (so distant)/*no more a saint am i*" can refer to either Malenia *or* St. Trina that's so well done, just like how "rise from your lifeless sleep/with eyes agleaming" feels like it can refer to Radahn OR the Tarnished, Or!! how "cut off from the fingers/i won't need 'em much" earlier can go for both the two/three fingers themselves And the fact Miq is literally leaving pieces of himself strewn around and then the littler stuff in the lyrics!!!! like "torrents of love" nudging at Torrent's connection to Miquella, the lines referencing wordings and such from the trailers, "when this omen fell/i seized it" easily referring to Mohg, but then being re-contextualized into the prophecy meaning of "omen" with the next line!! seriously y'all were doing great shit with the lyrics holy shit

Bloody Hell, JT Music really has come a long way. The fact that it sounds like they are singing the rap instead of rapping it like the modern raps you hear nowadays is amazing. Their voices have gotten better as well as they sound more powerful. Keep up the good work boys!

It amuses me that despite not generally knowing much about these souls games, they put a lot of real good lore into the songs they make about them. This one is especially nice to my lore loving self

I wish I could listen to this song for the first time again. It's very rare that such a good lyricist combines his work with the music so perfectly that it gives me INSTANT chills. Wow. This is so original and beyond impressive. I've always seen your work as my favorite, but this one is above and beyond. It's also hard to make constant style changes flow well within one song, and you've executed that absolutely flawlessly. I hope you always continue to make work like this.

If there is one good thing I'm thankful for this DLC, it's the coming of this song. I cannot express how perfect it is. I'm not expert, so please don't mind my description, but the way it feels to me it's like a nursery rhyme, akin to Miquella's infant curse, but the melody it's unsettling, almost creepy. "Pure and radiant, he wields love to shrive clean the hearts of men. There is nothing more terrifying." This song is the embodiment of this sentence. Miquella is indeed kind, but a monster all the same. This song matches the greatness of his character. Thank you, JT Music. Thank you very much for this song. It's even more amazing when you have given us "Shed No Grace on Me", which perfectly fits as a response from our Tarnished. Ah, man, I love this.

I love the sound of the chorus. which part of it "embrace my curse!" Is applicable to both messmer and miquella, as both are cursed. Neat touch! Edit: grammar lol
