As I'm avoiding enemies, Dead Inside assures me to (almost) never be malaised and Necromancy assures me to (almost) never heal (except in Castle which is totally broken).

I know i'm late but if you see this, how can you do +99.999 dmg in a speedrun without collecting everything and i can't even reach anything above +40.000 i mean is there anything above S Tier or am i missing something? (sorry if anything is unclear, not a nativespeaker)

A lot of things to say actually : - S items give you two extra stats. ++ items give you one. - creating synergies with your weapon affixes helps a lot to do insane damage (exemple : bleed turret + 60% damage on bleeding enemies affix) - I don't collect everything, but i have to pick almost all scrolls or my damage would be very bad. I miss 3 or 4 scrolls (on ~25) maximum per run - picking cursed chests helps a lot to have a lot of damage and is mandatory in high difficulties to have decent damage (until 1.5 goes live) But basically, not doing 99k damage is normal before 3BC 40k is decent in 2BC i think (but i didn't play it for a while)

You must play in custom mode. You unlock it with the customisation rune you get after killing an elite zombie in ramparts. Then check 30:35 to see how to use it. Some options will disable achievements however

Dude I don't even play on 2BC because I either die about halfway through the Time Keeper fight, or die instantly if I somehow make it past the castle. I would also like to point out that necromancy is a noob trap in the beginning, but one of the greatest mutations for 3BC (does malaise start then or 4BC?) and up. Exactly the same thing with dead inside, it doesn't come into play until the castle or later boss cells

You understand almost everything about Necromancy ! It is an OP mutation for high (and lower!) difficulties, for almost everyone. For dead inside, the question is more open. Some prefer gastronomy to heal (better) from food, and it is also great. To help you, indeed, play survival with necro, play slowly, take your time you don't have to rush. Try to fight enemies in 1v1 if possible, use your head/skills to kill them at a distance if not, there is no shame to do that. Upgrade your major forge a maximum to get better weapons. Do not underestimate minor forge to get good synergies with affixes, it makes a lot a difference. For Time Keeper, you have two choices : - kill her really quickly with insane DPS, but really hard with surv and you need good rng on affixes and so on - bring a maximum of items that can slow, stun or root her. Wolf traps are great. If you have them, stay behind her so she can't hit you and try to bait her inside a maximum. @@EvianFr But NEVER EVER combine gastronomy with dead inside. The extra healing becomes worthless. But do you still get the DPS boost? Another thing, have you ever made a new save and forgot that you don't have any runes? I made a new one a few days ago and kept trying to smash the weak ground and wall jump lol

Sure, you are right. The dps boost is still here but is anedoctic imo. And yeah happens to me a lot even in my Fresh File speedruns to try wall climbing without the rune...

So i did two runs on 2BC. One yesterday and one today. Yesterday I died horribly to Conjunctivitis and today I actually won! I rushed the Time Keeper like you said. My build was focused around Brutality and Bleed. I had a bleed sword, hokuto's bow, and two sinew slicers. When i got to the HotK, I thought I was gonna die again nearly instantly, but it was surprisingly easy.

Probably 5 maximum Curses are 'easy' to deal with through Acceptance mutation, the real run killer was Castle which is damn hard

You have to unlock 'runes' by beating mini-bosses while progressing in the game, you can't miss them if you take all alternatives routes

Thanks. I'm focusing on Dead Cells for the moment but I may speedrun other games one day, it will be completely different ones however (Crusader Kings, Hearts of Iron, Into the Breach...). Well, I already watched this vid. It's impressive, I won't redo it mostly because it'll be boring for me. A cursed sword run needs you to play slow and carefully and I have fun by speedrunning the game... ^^ (Btw he uses temporal distorsion which doesn't exist in the game anymore)

Because 5BC is really hard, you need a maximum of health and damage from scrolls

Also even if we could find a balance point, talking scrolls is usually faster than skipping them bc low scrolls will lead to way slower boss fights

@@ScrodumHat well then theres me who double checks every little corner for more money or heal, which leads to more than 2 hours work just for concierge. no, im kidding. takes me about 22 mins (timer) and about half an hour when the seed is known. otherwise, the timer is about 30 mins and 40 mins real time.

lmao he just used some game mechanics to avoid attacks (picking up scroll stops tp and attacks for a short amount of time, also the wall running is a unlockable rune. its found in the slumbering sanctuary, you can go there by defeating concergius

You realize there are different categories of WRs for every game right? This is the WR for 5BC. There are also clean save runs and 0BC runs from what I have seen. Maybe even runs that start from a clean save file and end at 5BC, who knows.
