Seeing Mickeys face at 21:00when John sings “test me test me…. WHY DON’T YOU ARREST ME” and the crowd going absolutely nutts is so awesome. 50+ years playing the song and Mickey still looks like he’s never seen a crowd reaction like that. So epic. Timeless hit.

A worthy finish to a great tour and a great 8 years run. Keeping the flame alive and also adding new perspectives and dimensions to the catalogue. Despite the boring, small but highly active congregation of haters telling us it was a money grab and that Mayer wasn't Jerry (he doesn't look like it but thx for telling us), constantly complaining about the tempo and generally seeming stuck in the past and unable to let go. Thx for some beautiful musical adventures Deadco.!

You gotta admit the new drummer brought back some energy to it though. The recordings don't lie. Bill is one of my favorite all time drummers but I think the long nights were getting him. Watched him in Boulder and had to be on oxygen last half of the night.

I love the original members, but at some point, to keep things alive, you need new music and evolution. John's blues approach, in many way, harkens back to the PigPen days. Hallelujah from the Colorado Rocky Mountains ~ Enjoyed the Boulder CO shows and the 7/14-15-2023 shows in SFCA of this tour. They have really gotten tight in the Grove or "Pocket" over the years. Mexico was most Memorable : ) Cheers!

Metallica and Monsters of Rock tour played on this day in 1988 at Candlestick - was there, SF bay has given us such wonderful music …in High School I was one one the few dead + metal heads around - my metal friends didn’t understand at the time why I loved the Dead… but I always have since childhood ❤
