I got excited for a moment thinking this was new, only to recognize I’ve heard this already and has been out for much longer than a year. This gave me false hope, because dead cowboy has been MIA for months. To me, he was the epitome of what deathstep was trying to achieve. Most deathstep is so painstakingly randomized, rhythmically opposed, and most drops dip into the spectrum of your VCR being raped by the neighbor’s chihuahua. Dead Cowboy actually had rare instrumental combinations used in conjunction for their tunes. The violin usage in Mephistopheles really stands out.
