love the speed and pace of this video while still telling the story!

These videos are filling a void left by your brothers old youtube series about drawing dnd characters. I hope you keep making them for a long time! That hat is too good of an idea not to use on another character down the line

Hi Matt! I really love what you are doing here. I've thought for a long time that Antediluvian Earth is a great fantasy setting that has not been fully explored. I especially love how you are taking seriously the ramifications of extremely old humans.

Awesome designs. Like the talons on the head subverting the skull helmet. Keep it up Matt!

I can definitely see why the original design felt like it had a less coherent theme/shape language. The final look is incredible!

Very cool to see the process, I really like the face features and scars mimicking scales but I'm not sold on the costume with the wrapings and I really liked the scrapped predatory motif hat. Looking forward to see more though!

When I heard Hunter I thought Nimrod, but I love this design!

Thats the best kind of video, where a top tier artist is explaining the brainstorming process of the design! A big thank you for that :)

Thought he was a *giant* in the thumbnail! I’m a big fan of the body mods, but not the hat. The hat would just get in the way during a hunt, though it would be great for traveling *to* hunts. His digitigrade walk reminds me of someone I know who used to walk like that on purpose…

I really really love these! Is this process similar to how you do your day to day work as well?

In principle, yes. It's a lot faster on personal projects though.

this is like a free masterclass in character design! so awesome! p.s. whole story and the direction it's going to has a strong Primal feel, and I mean that as a compliment!

Okay... sad the hat is gone, but that smile is just... nightmare fuel!!
