I really wish that they would do more content on the early days of the outbreak like this, Like have stories of National Guard soldiers or Army, Or Marines or Police, Or firefighters/EMT (Not like on World Beyond) where it would go through the initial outbreak until the fall and having to adjust to the apocalypse, In my opinion FTWD rushed too much into the apocalypse in just a few episodes. A lot of people were expecting it to be longer (Including myself) and focus more on the decline/fall instead of just becoming another apocalypse survival show.

The same with that shelter that June used to live at with her daughter: they were well prepared but June hid the fact that her daughter was sick with pneumonia. Was always curious how those in the fleet or even in the Bunkers like at Cheyenne Mountain would manage during the early days of the Walking dead. Cheyenne Mountain or an Aircraft Carrier or in this case a Nuclear-Powered Sub I would imagine would be a lot more like the Last Ship series where it would hold their own and would be the last stable remnant of our military. For those who never watched the Last Ship nor have any idea what it's about, think walking dead except instead of zombies it's a deadly pandemic with a disease that has a lot in common with the Ebola Virus, and instead of a bunch of random survivors you have an Arleigh-Burke Class Destroyer and her crew. Had 5 seasons if I am not mistaken and a really well-done story line covering pre and post Pandemic.

@@cookie5535 Cheyenne mountain is essentially a bunker as in a nuclear bunker if you saw just the main door alone you could tell just by looking at it that the entire us population could try to rip off it’s hinges and they wouldn’t put a dent in the thing, it was specifically made that way. Keep in mind it during the Cold War when we were expecting a nuclear attack. Ships at sea would be even harder this is what the last ship series revealed about the advantage warships have over say a freighter or anything land based. As long as it has plenty of food and fuel then it can stay out in the water for however long it needs to. Long story short military bunkers and ships have the advantage normal bases don’t have it can go either go far enough at sea where that is no longer an issue or if it’s a bunker it can simply close the door and if you are unfortunate enough to be on the wrong side then that’s that.

I'm sure a lot is inaccurate with the submarine and the submariners. but two things I really liked: - Others not knowing about the walkers at first and ending up not paying attention to their bites all that much. I'm pretty sure in a submarine when someone you thought was dead stands up, walks and straight up TANKS a bunch of your friends, you'd pay more attention to the event than the bite itself. - And goddamn, that phone call at the end. The screams were spooky as all getout, not to mention us being able to hear the sounds of the wife getting torn open on the phone. Those sounds in the background from the phone was the wife getting torn apart.

More than that, Riley's a recurring character in the second half of the season!!! The End is the Beginning guys are a Doomsday Cult led by one Theodore "Teddy" Maddox. John Dorie mentions him in 604: the serial killer that his father, John Dorie Sr. (a really great guy too) sacrificed his own career to put away. He's ALSO the guy that greets Riley at the end of this. Couple of cool facts: that Battle Axe that Morgan took from Emile LaRoux??? It's basically his new signature weapon, especially once he combines it with his Staff. And the key that Emile took??? The sub's nuclear launch key. The guy that he killed for it is Walter, the guy that Riley gave the other key to before they left at the end of this. It's all connected. Fyi: that sub's still full of its Undead Crew, but Morgan and Grace clear it out off-screen between Seasons 6 and 7.

@@marionetamtz Yeah throughout Season 7 some of the gang is seen wearing the crew's uniforms too. Morgan in particular is wearing the captain's, the guy who Riley shot after he got bitten. I think Grace was wearing Park's at one point, but I can't remember which episode it was. But Riley plays a major role in Season 6 as the second-in-command of the Doomsday Cult, although he doesn't appear again until 6x11. Those two guys by the sub in 6x01??? They sent Emile after Walter and the key because Teddy and Riley told them where to look. The Cult trying to get their hands on and use that key is a major storyline of the season. They need both keys for their plans. Riley had kept one, but he gave the other one to Walter and it then ended up in Morgan's possession after he killed Emile LaRoux. But when we finally see the sub again in full is episode 6x15 which is called USS Pennsylvania. When they board the sub, it's still full of the zombie crew and the gang is left wondering what happened there. Other things of note that they find are one compartment that's massively flooded with radiation. We never get an explanation for that one or the bodies that Dwight and Sherry find: 4 crewmembers handcuffed to their bunks and just dead. That wasn't in Dead in the Water and neither was the radioactive compartment. The gang puts down some of the crew, Morgan mostly with that battle axe of his, but the sub is still overrun with walkers at the end of the season. However, it's the home of Morgan and Grace between Seasons 6 and 7 and they apparently clear it out off-screen and put down the crew because there's no sign of the zombie crew in Season 7 and everyone is able to move freely about it throughout that season. The sub acts as Morgan's Group's home for Season 7 until near the end of the season when a radiation leak forces them to abandon ship for good.

I think it really helps make it more realistic. It's hard to believe that with the military being as armed as they are, that a zombie apocalypse couldn't get stopped. Especially with how slow they are. But the fact that everyone is infected and the fact that no one knows what a zombie is helps with the realism. Usually by the time they realize they need to hit the head, it brings down more people so it gives time for spread. And with everyone already being infected, everyone that dies makes it really hard to control.

Question. Why do the actors who are playing newly turned zombies in this episode need prosthetics? They are fresh, so the whole sunken face thing does not make sense. Honestly, I think it would be more terrifying if they looked basically the same.
@RoundenBrown2 жыл бұрын
The first season did that well, the infected school principal looked fresh.
@porpus99 Жыл бұрын
@johnnys141 I am talking about early Walking Dead lore. Resident Evil is a completely different franchise with a different explanation for their ghouls. Early walking dead episodes you see Walkers just turn and they look pretty much normal, only their skin pallor is different. Prosthetics are unnecessary in this scenario.

Milking the zombie genre is a shambling rotting corpse itself. Just when you thought they couldn't come up with a new Zed feature. Last of Us rises. And Beyond the Walking Dead. So few know this was started by George A Romero with Night of the Living Dead in 1968. Without tradition, new things wither and fade.
