This can be a debate for so many rules. What if the fielding team has too many fielders out the circle, the batsmen hits the ball in the air, its going for 6 but theres an extra fielder out there that catches it and stops it. Even if the no ball gets called immediately and not by the 3rd umpire, the batting team would still loose out on the 6.

But will get 1 extra run +1 extra ball as compensation and the ball is free hit

@@wizard-li2wz yea but if they don’t hit the next ball for six it’s still a “what if” that fielder wasn’t there

Guys, this is more nuanced than this. The bowling team appeals for the LBW (the energy they would rather spend in saving runs when the ball hits the pads). A better solution would be that we remove appeals altogether when the ball is live. Otherwise its disadvantage to the bowling team

If the ball has gone for four and it's been given out and then overturned, it's anyway UNFAIR advantage to the bowling team. So you're not taking away the advantage of the bowling side. You're removing and advantage that shouldn't have been given to them in the first place.

I don't see why the ENTIRE bowling team needs to appeal for the LBW. The ball was trickling away to the third man region for a boundary so it was the job for the third man to try and stop it (if he could catch up to the ball). I don't see why the third man has to join in on the appeal all the way from where he is supposed to stand. Let only the bowler and the keeper (and if possible the captain) do most of the appealing.
