Wow that mall looked scary. Great video. Unfortunately it seems hard to get an appointment in illinois. Its stupid over here.

It's really hard to get that shot here too right now unless you get lucky and people cancel.

Scary? Not in the least bit. I live near Auburn. Its completely safe. Essentially no crime. Auburn is just a very safe and small community that has a minuscule indoor mall that is pretty much past it's prime.

@@Mark-hb5zf i didnt mean scary as in crime. I guess i was meaning eerily quiet with nobody in it.

I got the Johnson and Johnson shot as well, it took me a couple of days to feel it. Hopefully it lasts a while. Thanks for the update.

I lived in Fort Wayne for 35 years, and went down 8 in Auburn more times than I can remember (even shopping at the Autozone visible in the video), and never once have I heard of this "mall" before. From the street it looks like any other strip mall in the country. I would have never guessed there was an interior that could be shopped as well. Wow...

Hey there! Great channel, for whatever reason, I like watching all these dead mall videos. I grew up in Auburn. They built Westedge mall in the mid eighties. Mayor Dickman, (stop laughing,) owned this property along with the trailer park that is next door. At the time it was adjacent to a Heck's Department Store. The only really noteworthy tenants they have had was a TCBY, the license branch, and a Aunt Millie's Bakery thrift store. Other than that you get your startup churches, I think Auburn's cable access channel was there at one time. It never was full, it never was a shopping destination of any sort. It wasn't ever a professional mall either. It had an identity crisis.

Does that even classify as a mall? It's... like an L-shaped building lol... I wish they'd hurry up with the vaccines down here.
