I've been here recently and yes, the floor is superrrr sketchy. The open entrance is also completely blocked now so you have to enter through the basement and pull yourself up through the hole in the auditorium. And ofc this is a homeless hotspot, same with GE and the paint factory near the skatepark that burnt down recently
@AJ-tz9ru9 күн бұрын
Damn small world we are both here rn watching this video lmao but I live in Fort Wayne. I’ve also been to the paint factory years ago!
@SuperVlogClips9 күн бұрын
@@AJ-tz9ru losing the paint factory was a bummer bc the roof was so easy to get to and it was a quick skate from the park, but silver lining we've made a diy skatepark in the paint factory lot, and the homeless brothers that live there are really cool people that have just gone through tough times

it was the place, four theaters and an arcade. now over a year ago its now tore down and they got a credit union in it's place. I recognized the car at the McClures station, it's mine, I remember seeing the lone car front of the rain tree and thought who be parking over there?

I grew up in Converse. I remember my mom cut hair at the Elder Beerman? My favorite thing was going to the arcade there. Not much in Marion in the 80’s, except that mall.

The Leader changed to Elder Beerman. The round places under the skylights were fountains at one time. The Lima Mall used to have concerts in those big areas. It used to be so packed that you could hardly wall through it. Years ago there were even grocery stores in it. The big anchor store was Sears. I was about 12 years old when they built the Mall. I've lived in Lima since I was 9. It's so sad to see how Lima has gone so far downhill! I have raised my family here.

The Burger King off of Illinois Road can be terrible sometimes both food wise and customer service wise as well. I live of Scott Road off of Illinois road so Southwest Allen County. That location has a terrible manger she's so rude, the employees are very rude as well most of them smoke and don't wash their hands. Whenever I have been in that Burger King they are always on their phones and trash talking. The floor is always sticky including the women's bathroom. Since the employees are always in the back trash talking and doing whatever I just walk out and go across the street to McDonald's.

I worked for Pier's when the Techno bar was just coming into play, and Todd during the staff meeting with us all said "All we are going to serve is Ecstasy & Water in the Techno Bar!". The best thing about working there was the ability to come into the bar at any time even if a Concert was sold out, you could still watch it for free, got to meet Nelly before his concert with Avant. The Red Moon was connected to Pier's, I used to have to fill it as it was used as a Singles Bar on Sunday nights or a place for big meeting lunch's type things. I miss Snickerz Comedy bar as well, got to meet Tommy Chong there for the only time, had a entire tray of someone's beer order spill on me by the waitress by accident during his act.

May 29, 2024: The situation is deteriorating every year. More and more stores close every year, and traffic is steadily declining. I give it until 2025 before the mall shuts down, and 2030 before the entire place shuts down.

When I was a child I would always do things with my oldest cousin and only girl cousin on my dad's side of the family. She took me to that movie theatre to see High School Musical 2 back in 2007. She never took me back because she didn't like how the theatre was so cold, it was starting to switch management so a lot of rude employees and it was just really gross inside the theatre that High School Musical 2 was playing in. She, her mom, and my mom all agreed that it wasn't a good movie theatre and it was just dirty.

This hurts my heart. This was where many of us used to hang out as kids on the weekends.😂We would go see movies here, buy our music here. I used to work in a store called "Rainbow", just a clothing store that was in the corner store across from where "Amazing Space" is in this video now. None of this is here today, it is so damn depressing to see what has become of our mall. Even since this video was filmed this building has changed, halls blocked off, stores closed completely.

I use to play there. I loved it! Great place to play and their chicken wings were fantastic for after a show. All of the sound engineers and the lighting director were great! Best green room in the business. All of the bands that played there had their promo photos hanging in it. Not to mention, you had a shower!
