Classic George Zucco! And the inimitable Dwight Frye! I wonder how many times I've watched this film? Well worth watching again!

George Zooco is a horror icon. He ranks with Karloff, Lee, Chaney, price, ect. His body of work is not as large, but , there is no denying his screen presence. He is so enjoyable to watch.

Something about the eyes always creeped me out. YOu always felt that even as that polite man with the British clipped accent could be the epitome of gracefulness, in a second he turn into a seething monster and bite your throat. Fun!

These "Poverty Row" as they were called, horror pictures, are the best...cheaply made flicks and very, very well done.. These "B" studios could throw a picture together quickly and on the cheap but are really wonderful and fun to see these days.

Once bitten; twice Zucco. Zucco on Zucco action is worth ten other actors.

i always like to see george zucco or torin thatcher in an old movie....they had a kind of unique good bad guy charisma menace all their own that nobody can match today.....just a subtle facial expression or a wave of the hand was all it took to strike terror

Why were. Bela Lugosi, Boris Karloff, or Dwight Frye never even nominated for Academy Awards? They were icons who played icons characters in cinema history.

@@richardsanislo1686 Horror movies were not considered to be awards material therefore not worthy to be honored.
