I don’t know if you know this, but Kasumi is the only character that can change voices in this game. In DOA and DOA2, Kasumi is voiced by Sakura Tange (she retired from voice acting) and Houko Kuwashima voice Kasumi from Dead or Alive 3.

3:11 you can hear the resentment in her voice. Despite being childhood friends, she was always jealous of the special treatment Kasumi receives as she was thrown to the wayside. Years of communication slowly fading started to bottle up her hatred, though she can deny it all she wants. She may have been given an order to kill her, but deep down, for Ayane, this was personal.

Good emulation, better than Xemu and Cxbx Reloded emulators, of course it's an official emulator made by Microsoft they have all the Xbox documentation, different from non-official emulators where developers have to reverse engineer and sometimes try to guess as an instruction would work on the PC.

@@RedVenomCorp in all honesty, probably a slight bias, prefer how DoA games looked prior to DoA5. Between character designs and other details, never really liked DoA5 and onward’s design. That being said, can’t deny that DoA5 & 6 female designs still smoken hot thanks to the improvements of the engine, lol.

I agree. When DOA5 was announced with the realistic look, I was against it. Got used to it though but still prefer DOA4 and down look.

@@maroXUprising it still looks beautiful to this day, you can see how much love they put in to this game. Tomonobu wanted DOA to be in anime art style and like I mentioned on other Red video, Tekken from that era looks down right awful.

The AI in this game has a tendency to go all aimbot on you even on the easiest settings. Lol, that Tengu throw at the beginning threw half you lifebar. Really have love, sudden hate, love with this game.

I wonder what made them make Kasumi Clones? Hmmmm but Alpha-152 is really cool to play as and defeat in DOA 4

Story wise DOA tec/MIST cloned Kasumi after she defeated Raidou (who was believed to be the strongest ninja/fighter in the world from their knowledge) and in turn kidnapped her in the hopes of replicating that raw physical and martial power within her alongside the innate ninja powers she possessed to mass produce and in turn make a profit. By producing the “perfect soldier” or well fighting bio weapon for global warfare to the highest bidder. Capable of defeating any opponent, cause mass destruction and blink away within a second with no trace. Kasumi Alpha and the clones were the obvious attempt to replicate human genetics and these ninja techniques without the means of martial training and of course alpha was perceived to be the almost perfect form just needed to be controlled and contained. So narratively they cloned her believing to be the most powerful blueprint for creating a global biological war machine to sell. I guess the irl answer would be that maybe Itagaki wanted an excuse to see kasumi naked in game and thought a test tube would be the most subtle way possible lmao.

I think they cycle through the costumes because Ayane and Ryu's outfits aren't their default costumes, at least in the PS2 game.
