I like to use both! 214T 4T 214T into a stun like P+K to bait a hold, and then go for it again with a Hi-Counter 214T 4T 64T.

I may too late several years to ask this but what is the best way to reach opponents in long-mid range with kokoro ? I had a case that I always lose against nico when in these range. Also, it seems nico has faster frame attack (even with tracking low attack 1p) against kokoro which makes me end up stunned. 66p is easily punished. Someone please halp..
@ForceofNature997 ай бұрын
Along with 66P, try 1K/1KK, or 6PK to help close the distance, if NiCO whiffs something 236P can be used also. Good luck.

What's your opinion on getting in with 33PP? I've been mostly using 66P, but yesterday I discovered that 33PP exists and has a better range than 66P and also gives a stun on the second hit. It's less safe on block, but I feel like it's a pretty unexpected range that catches opponents off guard after you've been conditioning them with 66P during the match.
@ForceofNature995 жыл бұрын
33PP is a nice 2 hit string, if I'm not mistaken, you can delay the second hit to fish for a stun.

I'm a newbie at fighting game, but i love DOA and Kokoro so much. One thing i want to ask is, what the meaning of number that always you say, like 4K and other?
@pekkagenesis48024 жыл бұрын
The number are based of directions on the number pad 1 is down-backward 2 is down 3 is down-forward 4 is back 5 isn't anything... 6 is forward 7 is up-backward 8 is up 9 is up-forward and just for a visual 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9

Just a few questions as to:- 1. whether its better to use 7p and/or its enders or 2H+K and its follow-ups to beat high jabs (like Kasumi's i9 jabs) in your opinion. 7p and its follow ups can be used at mid range but I have seen vids where people use 7p at close range to beat high jabs without relying on the sabaki stun. Is it because of that quick semi-crouch animation at the start of the move that allows them to avoid high jabs in general? 2. This just pertains to movement (I only started playing DOA a little more seriously in 6, at C+ atm trying to progress). On a PS4 D-pad, what is the best way of doing KBD on both 1p and 2p side? 3. Will there be any tutorial dealing with critical stuns and what to do when in it (since blindly holding will obviously lead to hi-counter throws, or an extension of the combo) Thanks once again. Your tutorials have been of help to us players in general.
@ForceofNature995 жыл бұрын
To deal with high jabs, you can 7P, or any hi-crush move like 2H+KK, 2P, or 33P+K for instance. Yeah, 7P can tech crouch a bit before the strike comes out. It's a good option against highs. In general, Kokoro's defense is fairly standard and pales a bit in comparison to her offense, but having both a mid & high sabaki definitely helps her regain offensive momentum when on the defensive. The way how I perform KBD on the pad is by doing quick 214/QCT backward flicks with my left thumb (input may read as 2121~continuously). From the right side is more difficult and I perform it by flicking my left thumb across the d-pad along 236 very quickly. You can try readjusting your thumb and even "plinking" with your thumb to see what works for you. Doing so should also work in the d-pad a bit too. I have not decided yet if I'll do a video on dealing with critical stun, but it could be a possible episode for the DOA6 Advanced Guide series. Happy that I've been able to help you out! Cheers.
@shihaokuang25295 жыл бұрын
@@ForceofNature99 Cheers for the quick reply. Ironically, I find the right side easier in the sense that while on the 1p side, I had some success flicking a QCB movement back, the 2p side could be gotten away with an almost 33 motion, but flicking it slightly counterclockwise upwards so that it reads like 2323 on the input. That being said, I still suck at the movement phase when it comes to real matches, since everything is happening so quickly and my experience in fighting games until now has been limited to AI or friends who are casuals, so that inbuilt reactions from experience hasnt settled in (that, and spacing). So KBD hasnt come in to me as intuitively, thus the 44-66 method seems to be more practical in general.
@ForceofNature995 жыл бұрын
@@shihaokuang2529 No problem. Glad to help. For movement, I actually use the 4(4)~6(6) more often than KBD. I generally use KBD to get away quickly or to space out potential wake-up comeback kicks. Have you checked out my movement guide? kzbin.info/www/bejne/pXesi4Kup7eKapY
@shihaokuang25295 жыл бұрын
@@ForceofNature99 yes I have but it's really practise that matters. But I thank you for that guide as it illustrates the thought process in doing the motions.

What patch is this? I can't do the air throw unless I launch when under critical stun. I'm talking about what you do in 1:26. I think they nerfed that.
@ForceofNature995 жыл бұрын
1.03a. I used 4P+K there, a high punch normal hit (NH) launcher. Just tried it and it works on Ayane, though, yeah, NH 4P+K into 236T doesn't work on middleweights or heavier. Need to stun them first with something like 66P then go for 4P+K then the 236T will work. Under most circumstances, you won't be using 4P+K on NH since it's a bit slow at i19. You'll most likely use it after a +21 stun or longer. Still pretty nifty that Kokoro can launch into a bound on lightweights on normal hit. Not many characters can do that.

How to use 236p+k? I think it’s useless skill.
@ForceofNature995 жыл бұрын
That's a fairly new move if I'm not mistaken (may have been added in DOA5LR). 236P+K is a little slow but has two good follow-ups. The Heichu string throw and a Mid P follow-up that is -5 on block and causes a big gut stun on NH. Anytime you have an advantage over the opponent in close range (including after a 214T~4T~214T or 236T reset throws), you can go for this move on an opponent's block or during stun. You can go for it after stuff like a NH 66P +21 stun too.
