Dead Reackon knives Ridgeback Integral full review! One month of real world use!

Awesome review man! I appreciate your honesty and giving us a fair shake at it! You should have added that I was laughing hysterically when you called and told me how you failed it, I'm just happy it impressed you on how long it took. Even though our lock up right now is super strong, there is always room for improvement. One thing that I learned from the Marines is that nothing is Marine proof, so when something fails, plan on where it is going to fail and know ahead of time how to mitigate or fix it. Anything within the materials ability to be stronger than the user, make it that way. Anything that is going to be a failure point (which is always the lock up on knives), allow it to fail cheaply or not at all. The button is one of the cheapest items in the knife that will yield before anything else, and it is also the easiest to replace. So if you're going to fail, fail cheap, but not catastrophically. Even with a deformed button, it will still work while being used properly, it will just won't have that zero play lock up we've nailed.

Man I love DR knives. That style with the swelled belly is amazing. Would be a great cutter. I have been wanting one of these for a long time. I have got a ban from ig because i shared a gaw and I dont get it but anyways becareful what you share on there. I now cant get to my pictures or anything. Great opportunity to check them out. Intergrals are amazing knives such a talent to it. I love what they stand for and who they are. Major rrspect for the guyys at dead reckon knives😊

Hey man good luck with your business your explanation echoes for me the stress and time involved to get it going. Thanks for the update on the dead reckon. I assume it’s not supposed to be spine whacked because of pivot. Still it took 13 whacks and while I agree folding knifes aren’t designed to be hammers on the back of the spine so what the point. I can see applying pressure to the spine to strike a ferro rod (push and throw)and I typically use the handle of the knife as a hammer lol…not the spine. Still I understand folks with hinderer’s being pissed 600 dollar use being able to take a reasonable whack.

You gave in to the spine wack mob 🤣. They can be relentless. I think it's pretty silly, but I have done a light version of it because I know the people want it. Excellent that the company did the repair free of charge. Shows they stand behind what they do!

I had to return mine detent was way to stiff and the flipper barly worked would not open all the way tried to contact DR never returned any of my emails horrible service

You should do spin whacks. But not like that. Those locks that fail that test, will fail in use. And if you know that ahead of time, you will know that and take caution or get it fixed.
