After all these many years I had no idea that Dave Greenfield sang "Dead Ringer". I thought it was Hugh Cornwell. Even though this concert was in 2007, sure was good to see Jet Black behind his drum kit. I did see The Stranglers in concert around 1983 in my hometown of Santa Barbara, California at the Santa Barbara County Bowl. they opened up for Roxy Music which I thought that was a bit odd. I kept yelling out for The Stranglers to play "Peaches" a few times (which they didn't) and Hugh Cornwell responded, "Ah. Someone remembers." I think I was the only one at the SBCB who knew who were The Stranglers. Excellent concert by both bands. May Dave Greenfield and Jet Black both Rest In Peace and that they are both jamming together up in the heavens.

Dead Ringer and Peasant in the Big Shitty are my two favorite Stranglers songs off my favorite Stranglers album, yet until a few days ago I had no idea idea that they were sung by Dave, despite having seen them live back in the late seventies. I guess I was too high at the time.
