Well Dead Space not just shoot 'em up game. The Ripper nicely fits into a metallic taste of body-horror.

I think the ripper alone tells a whole story about the Dead Space universe and how little life is regarded in this brave new world of theirs. no osha regulations to speak of, no worker safety, just regular joes going to work on space rocks in cramped mines with a literal rotating saw and minimal safety. perfect for slaying flesh monsters, but probably nightmarish to work with on a regular basis.
